Internal flights with pets

Hi

our dogs are flying out on 15 th August and going to Sydney we fly out a week later,

When they have finished their quantine we are going to fly down to pick them up then fly back to Brisbane can anyone share any info on best internal flights with pets and what the procedure is please

I would recommend using Virgin the process is simple and very reasonably priced. Your biggest expense will be getting them from quarantine to the airport. http://www.virginaustralia.com/au/en/plan/special-needs-assistance/pets/#fees-and-charges

If you don't want to use their crates you can usually hire crates at the airport but need to book them in advance

ok thansk m2m will take a look. Should have done that in the first place, was being lazy :)

Lol it goes on weight but you shouldn't pay more than $100, to hire a crate costs around $50.

I just had a look..really surprised how cheap it is. Was expecting to pay a lot more..

If they aren't accompanied then it is a lot more, we got quoted around $800 from Melbourne to Cairns, most of the time it's cheaper to fly down and back.
