ramot
If you have registered as a couple in NSW, and it's acknowledged, how does this help when you then apply for a de facto visa. Does this surpass the need for 12 months together, and what extra proof do you need to show when applying. Do you still need all the obvious, eg. letters, photos, bills at same address etc.

Same as a couple who have been married for 25 years and have 5 kids together also need to provide! Just being married or registered is insufficient in itself. It may allow DIAC to waive the 12 months previous relationship, but you still need further evidence
