I Have noticed on various other threads that people are claiming child benefit and rent assistance on PR VISAS , we were under the impression that you had to wait two years before this, we are applying on a permanent sponsored visa and wondered what the rules are for us.:huh:

Im not sure if you entitled to benefit on a sponsered visa.On a pr skilled you can claim most benefits except the 'dole'.you will be best having a chat with centrelink when you arrive,,
