twistbexter
We were hoping to apply for a visa asap!! We now feel as though we`ve hit a brick wall as we have to apply for the IELTS and the VETASSESS which is fine.......the trouble being is that the exams have got to be taken and the results back before we can apply for our visa.....but the immagration rules change on July 2012!!!! lebourvellec
???? What is the question??? Yes you require to have both skills assessment and IELTS before you can apply for your visa - if you have not gotten them by 1 JUly 2012 - you will lodge an expression of interest stating how many points you have then after being ranked, if selected you will get an invitation to apply. http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/index/faqs/
twistbexter
is the law just changing for sponsered visas? if i have 65 points without sponsership will i still be able to apply for a 175 skilled independant visa?
lebourvellec
The visa subclasses are also changing the 175 becomes the 189 and the 176 becomes the 190. Yes if your occupation is on SOL 1 and you have 65 points you can put on your expression of interest that you wish to be considered for the 189, but if you would like SS you can state you wish to be considered for SS therefore 190 visa. http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/
