  1. Hi! My partner and I have been invited to apply for our 190 NSW nominated visa. Before we finalise our application we just wanted to check we are correct in claiming 15 points for education (bachelors), as we understand overclaiming points can be devastating to an application. My partner (primary applicant) has a BSc from an English University that is irrelevant to her skilled occupation, and a graduate diploma that is directly relevant. She has had her skills i.e. postgraduate diploma assessed as suitable for migration by the Occupational Therapy Council of Australia (OTC), for whom the requirements are stated in their guidelines 'qualification must be comparable to an Australian Bachelor or Graduate Entry Master degree in accordance with Country Education Profiles produced by Australian Government, Department of Education and Training.' This equivalence is not explicitly stated in the positive assessment, only that her skills are 'suitable'. My query is regarding whether this ambiguity is likely to cause issues for our application, and if we are wrong to claim 15 points for a bachelors degree or higher? Bachelors degree was preselected in the points section of our application, as it had been inferred from our Nomination Application where we entered the Postgraduate Diploma. While this seems positive their system prefilled it, we are still quite nervous about the whole thing. Any advise is much appreciated!
