  1. Congratulations. Such a happy story and should give a lot of others waiting here, a sense of reassurance. Hope you enjoy the rest of your life here with your lovely extended family.
  2. That's correct. Definitely don't remember filling out form 80. We were asked to fill out Form 54 family composition though. Not too sure if they solve the same purpose.
  3. I think from memory, it took us about 8 weeks to get the AOS approval letter. All the best for next steps. You're very close now.
  4. Single AOS application for both applicants is required. Cheers.
  5. Haven't really been in a similar situation but I would think that a passport has date and place of birth, and you could supplement it with a statutory declaration. Worst case scenario you can always call the general immigration phone number and ask for advice. Good to see that there is movement again. All the best.
  6. Hey Jess. Application date was 31/05/2016. My signature has all the dates that were applicable to us. All the best.
  7. Once you have completed all the requirements such as medicals, police checks and completed AOS bond, you will get to make a payment for the 2nd VAC. As far as I know the amounts haven't changed. It should be $87,200 for both parents.
  8. Not too sure at all. I personally haven't come across anyone who has used other payment options. You could try and ask the case officer once the 2nd VAC request is received. All the best.
  9. The options given are credit card/paypal/BPay. If you are expecting the request to come through soon, transfer the required funds from overseas into your Australian bank account and BPay from your local bank account. There are no charges for this payment method.
  10. Things should start moving from here on I reckon. Gavin_K is June 2016 as well, so hopefully you guys hear something back very soon.
  11. And after a long wait (having patience has paid off), we have received the email to confirm that the visa has been approved. Good luck to everyone here and I cannot thank members of this forum enough in keeping each other up to date and for being so helpful. All the best.
  12. Hi Gavin. Offshore, which means getting to Melbourne will be another struggle when visa is granted but let's cross that bridge when we get there.
  13. Just an update for everyone. We have received the request to pay 2nd VAC yesterday. The email came through after months of inactivity, and we're thrilled. Now working to get the funds ready, and will be able to make the payment sometime next week. All the best to everyone here.
  14. That's not fair at all. Hopefully things start to move in the right direction from here on. Fingers crossed.
  15. Is it possible that the June 16 applicants are currently onshore?
  16. In our case, my parents are offshore and that's probably why they haven't received any emails. The last communication was when there was a request to get the AOS done. Haven't heard anything ever since. Hopefully we all see some movement in this space soon.
  17. Oh dear. That means we won't be hearing anything until July this year. I am just concerned that we will be asked to do medicals again seeing that they will expire in July this year. Not to forget that the AOS bond has already been paid. Wait and watch game I guess with a few unknowns it is.
  18. Can someone who recently got requested to pay 2nd VAC please let me know what forms of payment are accepted? I know BPAY is 1 of them but I am not too sure how it would work if my parents are going to pay this amount from an overseas bank account. Trying to give them as much information as possible so they are prepared for when it happens. Any guidance will be appreciated. Good luck everyone.
  19. Our timelines are very similar. Hopefully there is light at the other end of the tunnel. Fingers crossed for everyone who is waiting for this visa to be granted.
  20. I had to do the exact same thing in July. I was able to upload all documents online through MyGov but they need to see you in person in order to "Activate your profile". Once you do that, the system records this identification and lets you submit the application straightaway.
  21. I haven't received the approval yet. I think I have read from other members in this forum that they do call and basically you have to confirm with a yes to all the terms and conditions etc. I am hoping that they will call me closer to the 03/08. At the moment, I have just submitted the application for AOS, and it is under processing I guess.
  22. That is exactly right. The 03/08/2020 date is what I saw on my screen as soon as i submitted the AOS application for my parents. Will keep everyone updated as soon as I hear more.
  23. Hi All, Just an update. I have updated my signature, so please see for timelines etc. Good luck to everyone waiting on their visas. Cheers.
