I have always been told to depart using the passport required for entry on arrival at your final destination, so when travelling from Australia to the UK, I use my British passport, and then depart the UK on my Australian passport. This avoids any issues with visa requirements at the final destination.
Thank you for that insight.

Once citizenship has been finalised what does your vevo online say?
-
Thank you, so I can do as I have mentioned above

As a dual citizen what appears on one's home country passport in terms of vevo when they scan at airport?
Also how does one leave and enter Australia? Am I wrong if I leave Australia on Australian passport, upon arrival at home country can I present my home country passport. Then exit with home country passport and enter Australia on Australian passport?
New to the dual citizenship life so any insight would be appreciate in terms of travelling from Australia direct to home country.
Thank you.

Just a question guys. Can we withdraw our application if we apply by post as I don’t have any TRN or Client ID . No acknowledgement letter was sent as I applied by post. Thanks
I'm not sure. Have you tried calling them up to say you want to withdraw your application but you don't have your trn etc?

Hello guys,
just wanted to ask, my husband had applied for his citizenship application in feb at that time i did not get my Permanent residence. Now i got my PR so my question is does my husband need to update about it to the department? If yes than how?
Any help would be highly appreciated
thanks
Do you mean does he need to update his application that your a PR now?
I would assume it's already in their system as their the ones who granted it. So no need to.
But don't quote me on that maybe someone else has gone through this who might know better. ☺

Saw a post on another forum a family that applied in January 2019, will be having their Ceremony in July 2019.
Less than 7 months is total from application to Ceremony.
So looks like things are moving somehwere. Btw they applied form South Australia.

Hi There,
Which materials to be prepared for Citizenship test and how long this takes?
Can anyone help?
Regards, Aryan
From my experience just all the originals of the documents I submitted on lodgement of application.
Test itself for myself took less than 2 minutes. Interview/scanning/sighting of my original documents and taking of picture roughly another 15 minutes.
So for my center my interview and test and wait in building was about 20-30 minutes in total.
Hope that helps with your questions

Thanks for the response
I really hope we aren't too far behind. It's just disheartening when I'm the one out of my family who needs it more urgently
So true I understand. I need citizenship also for job prospects that require citizenship. Just taking Solace in the fact that I'm not alone in this journey and pre much checking everyday and then having a nice cup of tea to let out the frustration .
Fingers crossed for you though, it'll be worth it when it happens.

UK citizen here. I submitted my application in March 2018, sat my test in March 2019 and my application is still on 'received'. My mum submitted her application in August 2018, sat her test in May 2019 and hers was approved three weeks after the test, with a ceremony in August. What's weird though is that my dad and brother's applications were linked to my mums, and they sat their tests at the same time, but they have received nothing yet.
I'm really upset since the only reason I submitted my application seperate from the rest of my family is because I need it to access HECS for uni, but was told I just had to wait regardless, and that there was no way I could speed up my application. I live with my parents and so we'd all be doing our ceremony with the same council, so there should be no wait time difference due to the council.
It just seems completely unfair that people could apply and sit their test months after me and be approved before I am, surely there should be a queue system? Is there anything I can do?
Unfortunately from all the posts I have read so far we just have to wait. Calling them up always gives same answer your application is within the processing time, just wait. Etc etc... .
I hope yours, your bother and dads catch up with your mums and you all attend the ceremony togather.
Hopefully won't be long now, since one of ya'll is already there

Thank you. Yes that's priority number one a letter from employer. I am probably over thinking all this as I have never done one and don't want to go astray.. Thank you for the advice. Cheers.

Incentive to return home and adequate funds for the purpose of the proposed visit. (in his own right) are essential criteria.
If you have children as a result of your relationship (wahtever that is) it might pay you to consult a registered migration agent for advice about strategy.
Thank you.
Quick question so me providing my bank statements etc as extra funds doesn't matter? Tenancy lease etc should I include or not? In my invitation letter.
Sorry never written a invitation letter before so very unsure.
His coming to stay with us and this is his first ever visit to Australia. Coming for our daughters second birthday/sight see and then he has to go back home for work.
Also my home countries currency is not as strong as the dollar and I'm afraid it might look weak when his bank statement figures are converted hence wanting to supply mine

Good day everyone,
So my partner and I are applying for a tourist visa for him to visit myself and our children in Australia.
He works in home country and has parents and younger siblings that depend on him back home.
As added measure I am providing my bank statements in invitation letter to provide for his stay.
I'm just nervous about how much honesty should I write in the invitation letter. As we are seeking a multiple entry visa, as I am about to embark on a new career and as a migrant here with no family at all. I would need him to travel when needed to support myself and kids in a physical sense.
He has to return home cause he has work and his family and can only visit us periodically.
I'm just afraid if I write to much they might assume he won't return home and not grant visa.
I am also planning after I am established in my new career to apply for a partner visa for him when his offshore. But by giving too much information like that jeprodice his application for tourist visa?
OUR first application for tourist visa so I'm very nervous and don't want to screw this up.
Any insight would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi,
So I only have one sibling and I am a PR soon to be Citizen. I was wondering if there is any visa I can sponsor my sibling to migrate to Australia.
When he was here last he obtained an Australian qualification and is currently working in home country. He is also below 30 years old.
Any advice to links about any visa would be good. Thank you.

second question :
what is the mean of this on home affairs website ??
75% applications processing in 14 months
and 90% application processing time is 19 months . ??
what is that exactly mean .
It really does mean what it says, it is average processing times for applications. If an application took longer than 19 months, it is counted as one of the remaining 10%.Probably average processing time. Not sure I just read it and hope mine falls somewhere good

A child born in Australia is automatically an Australian, from knowledge that I have.

A child born in Australia with one parent PR and or a citizen acquires citizenahip. Yes. If you're on any other visa. No.

Dual citizenship travel
in Citizenship

So when leaving Australia show Australian one to immigration.
When you arrive in UK shown UK one.
When trips over leaving UK show UK passport and plane arrives in Australia show Australia one?
You can operate both passports on one travel?
Or am I misguided?
