  1. Can you use sources which were quired after the application date? For example, your company is an asset in the SALP. And the company generates, after application date, an earn out. Can this earn out be used without a new SALP? Just with a proof of the earn out documentation.
  2. Hm, if you ask for my opinion, I do not think this will make any difference. I think in Australia is the principle of equal rights. So how they would argue that they give preference to applicants of other countries? They would need a "medical reason" to do so. But China is officially more or less free of Covid19. So Australia could ease up the travel restrictions for China before Europe, USA and other countries. So it might be the oposit. China applicants can travel before others, so they get the visa granted earlier than others. Even if the media is negativ about China, it is still a hugh economic factor for Australia - students, exports ... And economic support is needed in most economies these days.
  3. Based on my immi agent it has to come from the assets you have shown in your application and you have to prove it.
  4. Updates you will find here: https://covid19.homeaffairs.gov.au/ Right now we all cannot enter Australia. And there is no timeline when they will change it. At least, they started to loosen the travel restrictions withhin Australian states. A good sign, but I suppose, that the travel restrictions for us will still last a few month.
  5. As I understand, the medical is valid 12 month and the case officer can prolong it up to 18 month. So if the medical is older than 18, you need to do it again. What I do not understand is, that they tell you to do the medical withhin 28 days after you application. Knowing the processing time is +20 month. This way you must do the medical twice. Why they do not inform you to do the medical after 12 month of the waiting time? And could a new applicant just wait and do the medical after 6 month istead of 28 days? Would his have any effect on the processing time? At least it would save them the 2nd medical test.
  6. Yes. Only 188B have to prove the AUD 1.5m. (Actually, this chat here was started regarding 188B ;-)) I know you applied for 188A.
  7. Was your first medical more than 18 month ago?
  8. When you did it first time, you got an eMedical letter by Immi which you needed to give to the doctor. Did they send you a new eMedical?
  9. Yes. There are only 2 processing center. HongKong and Adelaite. in HK are all from China, HK and I think some other asian countries. All others are processed in Adelaite.
  10. Great. We applied on 08/11/2018. So just shortly after you. Let me know when you recieve an answer by Immi.
  11. So they ask you to do a new medical and police record? Usually they are valid only 12 month and might be extended to 15 or so. That is what I read before somewere. This could be the reason they ask again.
  12. Yep, we had this on page 5 in discussion. I still think this could be the reason why everything is on hold somehow. They reached the sealing for 2019/20. In this case, we need to wait till July 2020 for news. But does anybody know were to find information on number of business visas granted till now? They publish numbers so skilled migration, so there might be numbers for business as well.
  13. This really is surprising, as you submitted your additional files in November, so long before Corona.
  14. Most applications, more than 90% are from China+HK+Iran. China+HK are processed in HK immi center. Usually, you will not meet them in this forum. All others are processed in Adelaite. So 2 different queues.
  15. Hi, this is quite normal. It is only the state nomination application. This happened last year and the year before as well. See here: https://www.business.nsw.gov.au/live-and-work-in-nsw/visas-and-immigration/business-migration NSW is now closed to applications for nomination under the Business Innovation and Investment Program (BIIP). NSW has exhausted its allocation of nomination applications this program year. NSW nomination is now closed as we have filled the places provided to us by the Commonwealth Department of Home Affairs.
  16. I got an update by my agent today. He had an reply from Immi in HK. Most of us are set up in Adelaite. But HK immigration wrote, that they are delayed due to corona. 1st because of working issues, 2nd because of the travel restictions. If you check the travel restrictions, they do not let anybody in. If you do not mange to enter Australia within you visa timeframe, you must start a new application. So this would be the worst case for all of us! USA today anounced, they stop immigration! Hope Australia will not follow USA.
  17. NSW, regional. We want to go to 2444 Port Macquarie.
  18. We are waiting now 17,5 month and did not hear anything by immigration. Many of the documents like medical, police records, English test are elapsing after some time. I think they have reached the seeling for 2019/20 and will not do anything till July 2020. With or without Corona. And I more worry about their review of the business visa program. They might increase the investment sum or cancle 188B. I hope this will not be for all the applicants, already in the system.
  19. Thanks for the explanation. The article was talking about a backlog. Well, I read the maximum visas granted for business p.a. was reduced from 7,200 to 6,800. We are getting closer to the end of the fiscal year in Australia. For 189,190 visa, there are monthly statics about invitation rounds. But I cannot find statistics on granted 188 visas per month. Maybe they are all given and we have to wait for the next fiscal year? Do you know a source were to find this information? (Beginning of Jan. I got the information, they are processing visa applications from late July 2018. If this would be somehow constant flow, they would be processing now visa applications from October 2018. But some friends applied in September and still have no case officer.)
  20. Here the article from last October with some numbers regarding the backlog: https://www.imidaily.com/asia-pacific/app-backlog-nears-20000-for-australias-business-innovation-investment-visa/
  21. thx. a lot. So no second medical after +12 month of the first medical?
  22. June 2019. You migh have to wait till 2022. Processing is in order of applications. Most probably timing is far more than 24 month.
  23. Hi Jay, I asked about Emadelin, as he worte that he turned in additional papers 5 month ago.
  24. I think there are lots of reasons why it take so long. First of all, there are more applicants than visas. They have a sealing for business visas of about 6,800 p.m. It used to be 7,200. But they have far more applicants. I read an article, maybe one year old, that about 20,000 were in the queue. The number for 188B is very low, but I think 188A and 132 have big numbers. We are getting closer to the end of the fiscal year. So maybe they are close to the sealing. Second, there is a review of the 188B visa and of the general concept of business visas going on. It might cause a delay as well. They are discussing to increase the AUD 1,5m as well as maybe reducing the visa options. COVID-19 might slow it down as well. Right now only citizen and PR are allowed to enter the country. So, if we get the 188B, which is temporary, will we be able to enter Australia on a special permit or not? Not sure. Most probably there are some of the case officers in HK and in Adelaite which are not working due to the virus. So I have no real answer to your question, but the same worries that the visa process is delayed right now due to several reasons.
  25. Oh, that sounds like bad news. Can you tell us what kind of additional documents they asked for? Did you have to do the medical again, as it is valid generally only 1 year?
