Sure not all news are bad news. But if the income is not taxable in Autralia, it is taxable in my home country. We have to pay one or the other way. There are so many pros to Australia, that we still want to migrate. But the hurdle is high. On the other hand, Australia can be very selective right now, based on number of applications.

Yes, same for us. We did calculate with 3% as an additional income. After the RBA reduced the cash rate to 0.1%, all interest rates went down dramatically. Thanks to Corona crisis. Unluckily, they offer this rate now for the total 4 years I suppose. Even if the interest goes up, I think we are stuck with the 0.1%. We all pay a high price to migrate to Australia. Low return on investment, years of waiting, high investment of time and money to meet the criteria.

It is 28 days. But you can prolong is easily by another 28 days. But my agent said, you must complete in 70 days in total. Still some paperwork, prove of money source used etc. And they give you right now 0.1% interest rate on the AUD 1.5m.

About 3 weeks after we send the package of documents based on their request from November. We did send it the week before Chrismas. Which was medical, police records and questions related to the points. We delivered 850 pages in return. Most of them them were from the first application, but it seemed they did not really check them or did not match them with the points system.

Finally!!! We got the invite to do the investment in NSW! Need to read the details now. YES!

They do not tell you, how long it will take. Most here applied for 188B, you are at 188A. So not sure how this is managed. We are expecting 1 mounth for checking the new documents like medical, police etc. For 188B, if all is OK, you have afterwards 28 days to do your investment of AUD 1.5m. I suppose you need to do then your investment in an existing business or start a new one.

We did now our medical, the police checks and prepared some financial paperwork. Our migration agent will turn in the papers soon. He thinks, it will then take 1 month for Immi to check the papers, then we hopefully get the OK to do the investment withhin 28 days. We hope and see how long the total process will take. We have now 25 month in total since application.

We got a CASE OFFICER! Finally, after 24 month and 2 days. 188B from Germany. Still a long list of requested documents: a) do medical again. Why they as for it in the beginning when you apply, as it is max. valid 18 month and processing time is more than that? b) police check of all countries we lived more than 12 month withhin the last 10 years. Difficult to optain during Corona. c) Divers documents regarding the investment, point test etc. Our immigration agent will check now the list and we will see how much effort it takes to provide all this documentation. They gave us 70 days to do so.

They tell you only when you do the investment. But consider the offical Cash Rate of RBA. Why the Australian Government should pay you more than that for AAA bonds? https://www.rba.gov.au/statistics/cash-rate/ The rate is now on historic low like 0.10%.

Great to hear you are getting processed. We are from Germany, so should be in the same queue. We applied 08/11/2018 for 188B as well. We have not heared back from immigration since we submitted our medical 11/01/2019. ??? Very strange, as we should get a case office before you? I can start to cry when I hear this. I feel this quite unfair! What you have clients processed in 10 months? I am waiting now 24 and even do not have a case officer. I though Australia has the rule of "equal rights".

Jep, states 29-30 mounth. Puh, I cannot belive this is for our applications, launched in 2018, as well. They double the number of visa places, but the process takes ages to process the application. Is there such a high demand?

We hope so. When we applied, it was 20 mounth 75% and 22 mounth 90% of application processed. We wait now 23 mounth and do not even have a case officer.

Great. But they need to increase number of case officers a lot. After they did not really manage to work down the 6.500 application level, how they want to manage 13,500? I hope they will put more focus on it now.

We applied 7 weeks after you, today it is 22 month of wainting for processing. 27.04.2020 your processing started, which is now 4.5 month. Wow. I really hope we are soon in the processing, so much delayed.

Do you have special recomondations, based on countries of origin? Most applicants will have a tax agent in their home country, but most will be looking for a skilled tax agent in Australia.
