I believe its the date of grant, but I am not sure. It might also be the date of first landing...
Just found it on the immi website, it is indeed 4 years from grant date
-
Hi folks,
Question: When does the 4 year period start on the 489 visa? From date of first landing OR date of grant?
-
Congrats @gurinder kaur !!! Finally

Yes, but remember one visa cancels another. So, if you were invited for a 190 and applied and were granted but failed to withdraw the 489 in time and it is then granted, the 489 will cancel the 190.
Rite...
But what if the 489 comes first and the 190 comes 7-8 months later? Would the 190 cancel 489?

Hi folks,
I already lodged my 489 SA visa (80 points) in Jan this year. Have been waiting for the grant since.
I now have the 190 option open under NSW and feel bitter sweet about it. With state sponsorship I have 75 points and scored a 90 in PTE. So I fancy my some chance of an invite.
Also my occupation code 135112 (ICT Project Manager) is listed as "Medium availability" with no additional criteria.
Can I have both applications running in parallel irrespective of whether I get a 489 grant or not?

I know folks waiting for 7-8 months now....looks like the average time.

Kirsty got the job - doing a very similar role to what she was doing in the UK but with greater scope, and just a short commute too.
Amazing stuff mate!! Congrats !! Sounds like the ideal scenario

Thanks. Do not think they back tracked it from the time of my PCC. My last day of the entry is 28th October. 6 months from the day Visa was granted
Sweeet! 6 months looks reasonable.
Because in my case, my PCC expired in Mar I'm OK if I have to re-submit if asked, but the immi folks shouldn't backtrack the grant to my medical. So would prefer grant date + 6 months validity
And if the wait time is looking more or less like 6 months, I guess I should just resort to spending time with family and friends and stop fretting lol- 1

Indeed. It's been a long wait ..but you guys helped me get through it. You shall get your grant soon too! Godspeed
Congrats mate!! This is incredible news! 6 months is no easy wait
I'm assuming your grant "validity" is less than 6 months? And did they base it on issuance of PCC/Medical date (earlier of the two)?

Hi all,
Does anyone have any experience of working in IT Project Management and/or Business Analysis in Australia? Or even specifically South Australia? My husband and I work in these roles in the UK.
Looking for general information around job availability, career prospects, average salary, working conditions, work life balance etc.
Thank you!
Hi @Stephix26 !
Stumbled upon your post. Are you looking for IT PM roles in South Australia?
Im actually waiting for my grant for SA 489 under the same job code. Would love to hear about your job hunting experience!

ITA= Invitation To Apply for visa
The State nom approval = ITA. Basically your 60 day clock starts once you receive confirmation that your state nomination has been approved and you’ll receive an invitation to apply for visa.
I received mine on Dec 4 and had until Feb 1 to lodge my visa.

EOI - Can I go for more than 1 visa ?

Hi,
Had a question regarding the validity of my medical which is dated March 26 2019.
(I got my SA 489 visa on Aug 23, finished first landing on Oct 28)
Now I’m planning to file for NSW 190 - still awaiting pre-invite.
If I do get invited to apply by end of the year, would I have to re-do the medical or could I submit the same one??
Thanks!
