    Hi @TBO,

Congratulations mate, I am right after you. fingers crosssed.

    Cheers

    Hi @kashyap

Good luck, mate! Just be patient.

I was requested for s56 last June 21 and the status moved to further assessment when I submitted the docs on 28 June 2019.

So, the waiting period in my case was around 59-60 days from s56.

    Best of luck, mate! :))

  2. Hi All,

I was asked for licensing requirements. It states: "Provide evidence from the relevant Australian registration or licensing authority that you hold the relevant registration or licence or that you will be able to meet necessary registration or licensing requirements."

Does this mean I need a certification from Australia? I have submitted the relevant certifications and licenses issued by my homecountry and it was positively assessed by CPA Australia.

Has anyone here know if I need to submit a proof or certification that I hold a membership from any Australian professional body?

Thanks to anyone who can help me.

    Hi Guys,

I was asked for proof of training benchmark by Immi. Has anyone here submitted the salary of trainer as evidence? It says in the letter that we can provide the salary of the person whose sole role is to provide training to Australian employees on a full time basis.

What does it mean Australian employees? Is it only secluded to Australian employees working in the company/my sponsor or also including those employees outside our company (ie. our clients who needs training to become resellers/distributors)? Our trainer trains people internally and externally.

Appreciate to anyone here who can help with this. Thank you so much.

Hi Guys, sadly I want to share bad news with  you.

My nomination has been refused yesterday. The reason was exactly the same as the first time - the company is not able to pay the salary for the next 2 years.

I have to admit, I expected that but I had hope because financials looks waaaay better now than it was before.

Our decision is to withdraw and to find another employer asap.

    Cheers,

    Nat

    Hi Nat,

Sorry to hear about the news. On your second application, may I ask what were the additional documents you provided to avoid the reason of refusal from your first application? My company was also asked for proof of evidence that they can pay for the next 2 years and they only submitted balance sheet, profit and loss and BAS. I'm not sure though if these are sufficient.

Thanks, Nat and good luck 🙂

  5. Hi Guys,

Ive got a letter from the immi requesting for a evidence as " no equivalent worker". I am nominated as an Accountant with 3 years of experience in an Accounting firm and offered a salary of $65K annually. I couldnt find the award or agreement in fairwork as the sponsor is not under banking or financial but a retailer and wholesale selling of computer or IT products so I was advised that it is a free award. I checked the salary surveys in the market and the min salary is $75K. Does anyone has similar situation? I'm thinking I am given that salary because of the length of my work experience. Thanks

    Hi TBO,

I have applied on the same date and i have still not heard anything , but out of curiosity, Can I ask you in which industry do you work?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Kashyap,

I work as an Accountant in a computer/IT company. Before, I worked in an audit firm in PwC.

My MA just send me earlier the email and it says in the letter that they are now processing my nomination application, hence, the request. I have 28 days to respond.

Crossed fingers, yours will be next mate!

Hi Guys, I just received an email from my MA containing a letter from immi requesting for the following:

    1) No equivalent worker - Please provide independent evidence demonstrating that the proposed terms and conditions of employment for the nominee are no less favourable than what would be provided to an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident for performing equivalent work in the same workplace at the same location. (Immi says "You have provided a job advertisement from your organisation which is not acceptable to determine the AMSR." -- What alternative document can I submit?

    2) Genuine need for a paid employee -  Provide evidence that the organisation has a genuine need for a paid employee to work in the position under their direct control.  -- Is a letter from my boss, my payslips, employment contract sufficient for this request?

Is there anyone here who was also requested for the same documents? Please I really need help. 😞 Thank you in advance!

@Louisa As far as i'm aware (welcome for someone to correct me here), you are able to claim it up until you get Medicare / PR approved.

    - I know the last claim we made, we needed to split the days we had and days we didn't have (so it was like 6 months of claiming and 6 months of not).

    Hi Hex,

May I know what is that Medicare levy mean? I haven't applied my Medicare since I applied for 186 visa.

Thanks for your response in advance 🙂

@Krl This is completely normal and expected.

On average, the CO should take roughly 30-40 days before they will revisit your application and uploaded / updated documents. From here, they could do a number of things:
    - Change status
    - Grant visa
    - Request / refuse application

It's not uncommon for the status to go from "initial assessment" straight to finalized, if everything is in order.

My suggestion would be to wait and hope to hear back before the 40 day mark.
    - Typically, if it goes past this (it could be a much longer wait) - however, each case is different.

    Positive thoughts!

    Hi Hex,

How would we know if a CO has been assigned to a case? I saw a response here before that it's only when the status is changed to initial assessment that a CO has been assigned. Is that true? Also, if they request for documents, do they send a letter requesting for such?

My immi account shows only "Action Required: Health Assessment-" -- no letter requesting for such. Is this the usual format? . I did my medicals this week and the status is still received. I also do not know if the nomination has been approved. My MA didnt inform me for updates. Thanks Hex. Appreciate your reply 🙂

I think it does make a difference, there's been a bit uptick in approvals from August onwards, some even from Nov dec being approved, while June July are still showing received.

I do think there's been more approval recently,

Update on mine: still waiting to hear, all docs uploaded last week, Friday is 28 days since the request so fingers crossed they check for them then!!

    It's being process by nsw.

    Hi Cbyrne,

May I know what were the documents requested for your application? Thanks

Your employer will be able to tell you once the nomination has been approved.  Yes, only the company has access to nomination part of the application.

Thanks @sydneyishuk. Will my MA be informed as well if the nomination is approved? I am not sure if my employer is monitoring the status of their nomination to me. Thank you.

    Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum, I have applied for my 186 DE as Accountant, Nomination was applied in Aug 2018 and my visa application in Sep 2018. I haven't got my medicals and police check done yet. I asked my MA as to when should I get all these done and I am not getting any response. Should I just wait until the nomination is approved?

With current scenario, I feel I still have another 3 to 4 months to go for any decision and  My wife's passport will be expired in Jan 2020. I read some where that there should be 6 months left on passport to get any visa. So should I be applying right away?

    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi Kashyap,

We are on similar application - just that my nomination and visa were lodged at the same time august 11 2018.

Would you mind sharing to me the curent status of your visa? Mine is still received but it shows action required: health assessment. Thanks!

When I log in I get the same alert - it is generic.

If the only action required from your side is Health examinations then you could disregard the rest.

You will need to provide AFP if you have spent a total of 12 months or more in Australia in the last 10 years since you turned 16.

Thank you for your reply @sydneyishuk. I was a bit worried because it's my first time to check my immi account (followed the import application and used my BVA TRN as advised by Hex.

Would it be safe to assume that the results will come soon when they asked me to provide health assessment but the status is still "Received"? Does it mean my application has undergone checking? Thank you.

Disregard - it is a known error

Should not be worried if provided what they have asked for

Thank you. but i haven't provided AFP or biometrics yet. Its just that in my account, the only actions required is the health examinations. I am sure if I need to do the biometrics and provide AFP.

    thanks for your help.

    Hi guys,

I opened my immi account and found this (see screenshot) but in the actions required, it only shows health examinations.

My question is do I need to do the character assessment and biometrics or just the health assessment? I'm confused which one to follow. thank you anyone who can help me.

The same happened to me; I am nominated under Architect position without being registered (in my nomination my company clarified I did not have to be register to fulfil the type of tasks i was going to be assigned to). Nevertheless, last week I received a request for further information  asking for either my registration certificate or justification I don't have to be registered. My company wrote a paper with proper explanation and I hope this will suffice. The same happened to my colleague.

    Hi,

Do you mean registered as an Accountant

Does anybody have the same situation like me?

I was sponsored as an accountant in a small business. last year, nomination was granted. I submitted the visa application @28/7/2018. Yesterday, they asked for Registration or licensing .

Alternatively, I can prove that my job doesn't need registration or licensing.

Do you mean registered CPA in a professional body or institution? I was also sponsored as an Accountant last year but still waiting for nomination approval. I did submit a proof that i am a registered CPA overseas and my skills assessment can prove to that. Is that what you mean mate?

Also, when did you submit your nomination?
