Did you have each job offer and a contract in place prior to applying for the visa?

If you have a contract with a start date of your job etc, does it speed up the processing time?

Hi. We received a letter to show us that our employer had applied for the 187 visa. We then applied at the end of November. We immediately got a letter to confirm our application and then downloaded our medical forms with HAP numbers. Our medicals have been approved. Since then we have heard nothing. Do you know if you get an email to say you have an case officer? Where do you see how far along in the process you are?
