Hi can anyone please clarify if my daughter can pay for my visa in my immi for me? I am concerned as its an offshore application and i dont want to confuse things by paying it in Australia, thanks. Obviously much cheaper for me to transfer wise her the fee.

Hey man i think anyone can pay as long as the file no is mentioned but i would want u to confirm it with Mr alan here,Do you mind telling me when did you receive the message to pay 2nd vac installment?Have they starting requesting 2nd vac to offshore applicants?

Thanks for sharing your experience. If we are going to wait for months before 2nd vac, does it mean the health check and police check will be outdated by then and we will have to do it again?

Yeah will have to wait and see what they say maybe they exempt with the ones they have as they know covid kicked in

My mother’s 143 offshore application was being assessed in May this year as we were asked to email supporting documents, health check and to arrange  AOS at the time. We have done everything and AOS acceptance was received and sent to Immigration in July. Then, we haven’t heard anything from them. Is it normal? I thought the 2nd Instalment would be requested soon after the AOS acceptance. I was thinking about calling Immigration to enquire but I feel that they probably won’t answer this sort of question. And I doubt I will get any response if I email them enquiring about the visa progress. But I am anxious as I worry that I may have missed anything that were requested by Immigration and that’s why they are completely silent.  Can anyone shed some light on this? Anyone in the similar situation?

I am in similar situation and most of the people who applied in feb to may 2016 are in similar position, you need not worry much they are not requesting 2nd vac at the moment

Such a heartless response. And the majority of 143 applicants are not Elderly!  Australia have to open borders at some point, why not to visa applicants first?

Thank you, Being a physiotherapist myself i know this is going to go on for a while and this whole thing the gift from china  is a disease in itself  it does affect people with primary ailments but it is not as dangerous as other diseases we come across in medical field. With proper precautions, there can be a way for countries to bring in flights but sad people are so feared and the economies will be ruined even more in a year if this stays like this, and to people who dont care about my previous post maybe your priorities are different,No one is special,if human world could understand the psychology of other person speaking maybe this world would become even better

  6. Hi Sir

With due respect , I am writing this letter on behalf of all the parents suffering mentally who were on the verge of being granted the visa 143 just before the pandemic kicked in february. The january and february (2016) offshore applications had their assurance of support finalised and some of us received the 2nd vaq request while others were waiting for 2nd vaq request. Its been a tough time since them as we all do not know when the department will start issuing visas for this category again. As this is a permanent residency visa and comes under excluded category for travellers,we still hope that your department will look into this and clear the backlog as soon as possible for offshore applicants, Sir there can be a way to this,Covid testing can be done for this category applicants arriving australia,It will help the country with that money coming in too.I request you to please look into this as it is affecting parents and families mentally being away.
    Regards
    Nitz

can someone please send this message to someone who can make immigration minister alan tudge read it.....i know this is next to impossible but still

2nd VACs have been requested since entry to Australia was restricted.

    Best regards.

Hi Alan thanks and can you please tell if they have been requested to a handful of people and not just mere one or two as you must be familier with this and have they been for offshore people?

@nitzhow can u be so confident in saying that they will start granting visa 143 for offshore applicant if the borders remain closed till mid next year ? It looks like the govt wants to limit people entering the country till a vaccine is found so I don’t see any basis of your argument as Australia would take necessary actions to protect its current residence. It is sad news for all us 143 applicants but it is the harsh reality.

They already granted visa to someone here offshore named palaceboy and i called immi and they said they are processing but its slower then it earlier was

Scott Morrison mentioned the other day that the international borders might not open till mid(July)2021 which would mean no parent visa 143 grant till mid next year. This is such a sad news for all parent visa 143 applicant
