Hi, I applied the same position from ACT. Nomination and visa applied in November 2017. RCB approved but there is no any news from nomination. I am bit frustrated. Do you think it depends on the state to process visa quickly?
I don't think its about the state. The employer and the position seem to be more important than the state. I know a Child Care group Leader in Canberra that got Nomination and Visa very fast. Her employer is the biggest provider of Children services in Australia. Another thing that may affect processing is the complexity of the application (specifically for visa file). I hope this helps. A couple of Group Leaders in Canberra have had their Nomination approved between 17-19 months. Dont worry you will get there soon.

Hello everyone. Happy new year. My Nomimation was approved on 1st November 2018 and there was no request for further documents. I have not heard anything since then and the Visa status remains received. Please is anyone in a similar situation or knows someone who had a.similar situation. Visa file not allocated to CO 2 months after nomination approval and no request for any document.
Child Care group Leader. ACT. Visa and nomination submitted in June 2017 (same time).

Hi guys,
Is anyone know the processing time for nomination and visa are same or different?
i read a post online (cant remember where) said nomination take 10-14 months, and visa is now 21-22 months.
i think nomination is like 80% out of 100% to get approve
The post is correct to some extent. 21-22 months is the timeframe for 75% of visas to be finalised. Nomomation can come any time before then. In some cases visa and nomination are approved on the same day if they were lodged at the same time. At other times, visa may take 1-3 months after nomination and sometimes 6 months if the case is complex. Nomination is about 90%, because once you have the right qualification and pass medical and police checks you will sure get the visa after a successful nomination. I hope this helps.

I didn’t miss understand you. I just answered in a different way. So, some people get both at the same time depends if they lodged at same time. Some people get nomination quickly and wait a bit longer for their visa which you said you read somewhere. Not sure if I’m right but that time frame 21-22 months applies to both nomination and visa application. I’m still waiting for my nomination to be approved since feb 2017. Hope that helps
Visa usually takes 1day to 3 months after nomination if they were both lodged at the same time..So the 21-22 months refers to the time to finalise your visa application not the nomination.

the asnwer is No.
CO who approved your Nomination,
CO who opens your application and asked you to submit more documents(if any)
after you submit more documents, the
CO who opens again and asess your application further, All three of them are different Case Officers. I don t understand why they work like that, but thats what it is...
Does it mean no CO has opened my visa file since Nov 1st. Because no one has asked for extra docs and no communication whatsoever. Visa status is still "recieved". Is it possible to get grant straight from received status.

if your case officer starting to look at your application, the status should be changed from "received" to "initial assessment" OR "further assessment". I guess your application has not allocated to the case officer yet? but also that doesnt make sense because your allocated case officer approve your nomination...
Thank you Kyle. I really don't understand why the visa file is still not allocated since nomination approval on 1st November. Is it usually the same CO for both Nomination and Visa?

Please is there any one waiting since November 1st 2018 for visa after Nomination approval without any request for more documents or information? Does it usually take so long after nomination for visa file to be opened?

No it won’t , even I had drink drive offence
19 hours ago, Mc14 said:Guys,
does anyone knows if driving unregistered car offence comes on AFP??
i mean if, someone has experienced ?
your response will be appreciated !
The only thing that shows on AFP clearance is any offense that led to a court case. If you don't have a court case, there is nothing to worry about.
