Hey guys, I applied for my citizenship on 04/05/2021 and I will need to travel overseas very soon.
Does anyone know what happens if they approve my application while I'm overseas? I couldn't find this information.

From March 2018 if you are on the STSOL list not eligible for DE stream
Exactly, but as I do have the nomination approved the occupation list will not apply when re-lodging the visa.

Hi Andy, how would you apply again under DE stream if your occupation is on the STSOL? did you confirm this with your MA?
Why it should be a problem? Did they change something regarding to STSOL applicants?

I can only tell you mine , my total relevant work experience as per ACS during my visa lodgement in august last year was about 10 months . I had the exact same concern about 3 years WE req for DE and the above response is what i got from my MA before lodgement. so 3 years hard bound rule is either for TRT or point tested visa as its not substantiated for DE yet.
Do you think that withdraw the application and apply once again is not the best option? What do you recommend?
I sent two times documents to the Department showing more than three years of experience and they are not accepting it. I sent diplomas from 2008, 2009 and my Bachelor Degree in 2015. I sent my CV, ACS assessment and documents supporting my previous employers.

Don’t worry about the years of experience as the “deeming date” given by ACS is only relevant for claiming employment for a points tested visa. For employer sponsored PR there is no deeming date and the three years’ experience can be the same employment as that used to meet the criteria for the skills assessment. Hope that makes sense!
Not sure if you read the complete thread, but in my case they are considering only ACS to determine my experience, at the time that I applied I had less than three years of experience.

Does it mean you need to spend money again regarding the application fee?
Unfortunately yes

Tricky that nomination was approved。but the next co holds a different view.
2 minutes ago, sydneyishuk said:Not tricky that nomination has been approved as separate from the application. He can submit new application still under the approved nomination as must apply within 6 months of Nomination approval
Exactly. The main problem is that they don't want to look into other documents, only ACS. So, I will withdraw the application and apply using the approved nomination as @sydneyishuk mentioned.

Did you use a MA? If so, you need to speak with them - why would they submit your application knowing that you were not eligible with having less than 3 years experience??
My MA suggested this one year ago to proceed with the application even with less than 3 years of experience (considering the ACS assessment).
I have more than 10 years of experience but the Department is relying only on ACS, so I don't have choice.

should contact your MA since they knew these requirements at first and they must find a best solution.

Don't phone the IMMI helpline as they are prone to giving out false information.
They suggested this option, I don't have choice.

I've heard you must have 3 years experience when applying if you fall short of this you are at the risk of visa being refused.
Exactly.

@AndyBR how many months before your 3 years experience did you apply?
I think even i applied like two months before my official 3 years experience
I applied with 2 years 5 months. Before it was ok but now they are more restrictives.

The new rule started from 18 March 2018. So for ur case this should not be a problem unless you applied a little bit late than that date
Which rule?

Hold on Mate, check with another MA first.
My MA told me the 3years experience requirement does not necessary be skill assessed if you are under DE program.
( I am not expert - worth asking more people before withdraw it!!)
Exactly. But the Department is more restrictive now, I tried to submit prove that I have much more than three years of experience but they are arguing that at the moment that I applied accordingly with my ACS assessment I don't have these three years. We tried for 3 times show this to the Department without success. So I think the best thing to do is withdraw the application.

Hey Mate,
Apparently, yes you need to have 3 years experience on your skill assessment before you apply. The time after application is not counted.
You agent should have checked this.
Please check with a different MA.
Thanks Mate,
I will withdraw the application and start once again.

Hey guys,
I'm into a very tricky situation. I applied my visa on 14/02/2018 as Web Developer, when I lodged the visa my ICT skills assessment from ACS was showing 2 years 5 months of experience (it doesn't match with the Department requirements that is 3 years of experience, my agent neither me noticed this). I have more than 11 years of experience in total, but looks like the Department only consider the experience after my Bachelor Degree(without counting the experience after the lodge).
I can see few options here:
- Try to submit a new assessment once again to ACS with the same Bachelor Degree (applying today I will get more than 3 years of experience, but I'm not sure if the Department will accept it)
- Try to submit a new assessment once again to ACS using my Technologist certificate from 2009 (not sure if they will accept it)
- Withdraw the application with the same documents starting from month zero once again
The main thing here is that I lodged the visa with less than 3 years of experience.
Do you guys see any other option? What do you guys reckon should be the best option?

Hey guys, my health examinations will expire on Feb 20th.
Do you think I should ask my MA to contact immigration about this?

As far as I know, they give the 28 days to you to provide the documents, so after the 28days they might open your file again and take decisions based on what is there (you uploading or not).
But even after the 28days period you're still able to upload any documents.
They also understand that, in some circumstances, if you're not able to arrange the documents in the 28days time frame, they might extend the deadline. You need to send them an letter/email explaining the situation and ask for more time.
Yes, he requested to immigration to extend the deadline due to Christmas and New Eve period. Hopefully they will understand and accept it.

Hi guys, question:
Immigration asked my agent on 10th Dec for extra police clearance, my agent asked these documents to me yesterday (20th Dec).
Considering that immigration give 28 days as deadline to send the documents, considering the scenario that I can't give these documents in time for the 28 days, what can happen?
They don't accept any documents after the deadline? There are any possibility/reason to make them accept it?
My agent stop to work today and will return only 7th Jan.
Any help/idea?
