Hello everyone - just an update to keep you all up-to date with one of the hardest weeks of my life.

My PR has just been granted 🙂🙂🙂 Woah I cant even believe it and I'm literally shaking.

The decision to refuse nomination was overturned and my Visa was granted today 🍾

I will post again soon to explain the exact process and what went on since my nomination was refused - once I find the time to detail it all as was a complicated case.

Put it this way, my MA agent was unbelievable and I owe them so much.

Its crazy, I've went to feeling so down to so high in a matter of weeks.

I will post again soon detailing the whole timeline and what exactly happened....for now, I'm going to celebrate 🎉

This is a miracle.... so Happy to hear that your PR is granted. It would really great to share the details.

Sad news this morning - my nomination was refused 😟

I'm awaiting a meeting with my MA to find out the reason why - once I know I will share it on here.

My application was more complicated than most and I sort of had this in the back of my mind this could happen but hey life goes on. I wasn't actually as upset as I thought I would have been.

Still currently on my 457 so no need to make any urgent decisions at the moment however at first thought - I don't think I will appeal. I see it can take another 12-18 months for your appeal to be heard and to be honest I don't think I can put our life on hold for that amount of time again. My wife wants to start a family and I don't feel comfortable doing that whilst sitting on a bridging visa awaiting the possible outcome - no matter how strong my case may be.

So it looks like my journey in Australia has come to an end - I have so many great memories here and I wouldn't change them for the world. I believe in life, things that are meant to be are meant to be and I guess its just our destiny to be back home. Although they wont say it, both my Wife and my parents will be over the moon I bet - they really struggled with the thought of us having a family out here alone.

Good luck to everyone on here - the forum has helped me through the process and its an awesome community that you all should be proud of.

I probably will take a step back from the forum now and I doubt I will post much more - just need to start planning the move back to the UK. My company has offices back home so I'm currently looking into an internal transfer.

    Farewell and God Bless 🍀

Sorry to hear this from a such a wonderful person. Don't discourage try to re-apply for a new nomination application once you know the reason for refusal. Keep strong as the new applications are now quicker so it just have to wait for sometime. As you still have 457 visa keep faith and re-apply it. Good Luck and all the best.

    Hi All,

    Company Nomination approved last Friday.

Today my application still reads as received but last update is dated today 04/03.

1x new message requesting updated medical - I wonder how long it will take to my MA to notice me and I don't want to jeopardise by clicking on the "organising the health examination" link myself.

Finger crossed but I can see some bright light at the end of the tunnel ...

Your MA should had received update about the organising the health examination. Speak to him and see or ask him if he received any updates.

Is your medicals expired? In regards to  last updated date no clue on it it may be CO has opened up you file and requested for the updated medical.

Don't  click on the "organising the health examination" link yourself. Wait for your MA to respond.

congrats Bro! I have a question btw, you get your nomination one year ago, so what happened during these days? further assessment or you delayed for some reason.

No i haven’t delayed i lodged within two weeks after my nomination was approved we lodged a desicion ready application.

This week my afp check is gone expire and medicals next week.

My wife is pregnant now we notified via change in circumstances form.

My migration agent emailed to immigration that my medicals gone expire in a week and it will hard for my wife to undergo medicals again and requested for grant.

With 10 days i received grant it was pure luck by god’s grace we got it.

it all depends on CO and luck as well.

Just got this response from IMMI when I sent through an email last week, pretty generic but it's good to at last get a response!

Thank You very much for your email.  We aim to finalise majority of visa applications at the earliest, however some applications may take longer to process due to various factors, such as internal checks, health and character. Your application is actively being processed.  In due course you, or your authorised representative, will be notified if there is anything else required from your side.

Please see auto response, which you would have received, when you sent the email below.

Hi, Did your MA has emailed to the department or yourself sent it. If it is ok for you share me the email id you/your MA sent to. I want to give a try once and see.

I would advise your wife to pass the IELTS now, if she did not do this yet (or other acceptable English test). As paying second instalment would be much more expensive, i.e., several thousands dollars.

She had completed her masters here in Melbourne back in 2016 we had submitted her master degree certificate and course completion letter as well. Do she still need to submit her IELTS or PTE score. As we paid the full visa amount when we applied for Visa.

Oh i have payed the visa amount in one go so not aware of this. But why do we need  English of secondary applicant my MA didn't ask for it. We only submitted my wife Education certified copies only.

Yeah now i found about this online in different website as https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/Pages/PageNotFoundError.aspx?requestUrl=https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/supporting/Pages/employer-sponsored/second-instalment.aspx this link is not working for me.

    Thanks for clarifying @Loktar.

It is a standard procedure to pay second instalment for the English of secondary applicant (hence, the invoice). All details are on the immigration web site.

    Hi. Guys

Anyone who has experience like this circumstance.

I am an applicant in Feb 2018 186 trt Chef Sydney 2pp

My nomination was approved 17th Dec 2018.

Now the co asked functional english of the secondary applicant who is my wife but I am willing to pay the installment of English charge.

And I requested the invoice last Mon, 4th Feb via immi account  and E-mail.

    However no news at all.

So really wonder how long normally it takes to get the invoice after request?

Please share your experience with me.

It will be a lot appreciated.

    Thanks Guys

You message is not clear enough, what is the invoice you are talking about? And CO asked for english of the secondary applicant this is bit strange. You need to book for English language test(Either IELTS or PTE) of your own why you need to ask immigration department for invoice? Have you applied for Visa of your own or through Migration Agent?

I will agree on that because that is the exact route we went. I know a lot of Accountants that is still on pending and applied earlier than us that works in smaller companies and/or done the application themselves. However I think the size of the company does carry more weight than doing the PR yourself or using a smaller migration agency. That is why the nomination part of the process (can the company afford you, stable company, size, turnover, etc.) is the most difficult part and your actual PR part the "easy" part.

Always here to assist and will not run away, this forum helped me a lot so it's my turn to give back some knowledge and experiences we had.

It all depends by case by case. In my case Nomination was approved within three months but i am waiting almost an year still my visa is not granted. Yes Nomination is main part but not very sure how the immigration is processing the applications.
