I tend to agree with this, there was someone a few pages back that got their visa within 5 months of application.

I myself received my visa before the 10 / 12 month (75% at the time) - so there are definitely people that get their visas before the allocated time frames.

    - My opinion is that, unless your visa process goes into "Further Assessment", you should get your visa outcome within the said time frames, if not sooner. (There are some exceptions to the case).

One more question is if we travel to overseas when you are on bridging visa does the immi department doesn't grant visa until i am back or they can grant it even though i am in overseas?

What make you say that few people are getting their grants early? There is no reason to believe that 75% of applicants do not receive their grants within the 10-12 months specified by the immigration. This (very good) forum is only a small sample of applicants.

As for the order of processing, immi themselves are very clear on the fact that they are not processing the applications in order of submission. Occupation, country of origin, sponsor, complete applications, etc certainly have an impact in the order of processing.

I saw someone posted they lodged in august 2018 and got their granted already. Thats why i said so, i agree with you but still why are they taking time even though nomination was approved ten months back still visa not granted.

I'm speculating based on the information on the government website. They anticipate 75% of DE candidates processed within 10 months, 90% within 14 months. This would imply they would have to move at the pace of processing 2 calendar months worth of paperwork every month otherwise it would be impossible since before Dec 18 2018 they stated processing time would be 16-19 months.

In any case, the outlook is good. It sounds like they've hired more processing staff and hopefully no prolonged holidays coming up.

I see that the immigration is not processing the applications in order, few people are getting their grants early.

    Hey guys

    Anyone experienced the same.

On my bridging visa the position number is 1 digit different to the one that granted my nomination.

I wonder if it’s a particular team that does the whole lot ?

where can we find position number on bridging visa i checked mine couldn't find it.

Not necessarily - the application doesn't always go from Received to Initial Assessment to Further Assessment.

    - It could go from Initial Assessment, straight to Finalized (it did with mine).

Hex how long did it took to change from Received to Initial Assessment. Mine still says as received.

Hi guys just got update from CO last Saturday asking further requests for my nomination from my company the training benchmarks(do i need to worry about or not?) and CO also in my visa part asking for Updated Police Clearance. Just worried how long it takes when we comply the further requests of the CO.

    Thanks!

I got my Permanent Residency granted today.

It's bit overwhelming as I wasn't expecting outcome so soon as I've been estimating timelines according to conversations in this forum, surprisingly I got mine with in 5 months.

I am hoping timelines are improving, so good luck everyone!

Wishing everyone all the best, it won't be long. Keep positive. I was getting extremely anxious but my advise is try keep busy and enjoy this beautiful county.

Can the spreadsheet be updated with my info if it hasn't already.

Change your signature otherwise who ever updates the sheet thinks it is still in received status.

    Hi all
    I’m looking for advise
We send an email to the immigration for update
We applied on 30 June 2017 as cook/pastry 186 trt status received
    The department send us this
We contact our business but they did not receive anything from immigration
Our HR try to contact them to say that there was no request on the application from the immigration
So why this guy answered like this?
In his signature there is “decision maker” this means that he is the CO?
    Thanks all

Hi, Did your MA/Your HR emailed them about the status or you did it. It was bit surprising they didn't receive this and it was just you.

And in the request / response it seriously says "Apparently, the action required is to click on "I acknowledge that the documents are complete"? That's a first for me, wow!

So after that the visa was granted for you? can't she say yes to it or it has to be done by MA?

Yeah I think so. It was last updated on the 29/Dec/2018; that day it changed status. But oh boy, haha these holidays are driving me nuts!!! Can't wait for my MA to get back.

@ajk is your status showing "received"? We have done everything since March 2018; Medicals, Police Checks, all necessary translations, Form 80, etc. The only one thing I had to do again (but not because we were requested) but because they expired were our Australian Police Checks.

Yes it is showing status as 'received' and last updated was on 16th march.I have still another 2 months time before my AFP, PCC and medicals to get expired. I had submitted Form 80 as well. MY MA says all documents required are submitted long time ago. I checked using IMMI account as well.

Ah yeah I see, her occupation is on the MLT. Sorry didn't see the attachment. So, I wonder why she is applying for 190. I mean her occupation is eligible for both visas. Probably because she wants to do things quicker;(not waiting the three years to apply for TRT), However, as far as I know, she is able to apply for Direct Entry without completing the years time on a 457. In any case, I do not see how a MA can profit from the type of visa an applicant applies for. They only charge the service fees, not the cost of the visa itself.. perhaps one takes more time than the other.

On another hand, I am still waiting for my MA to come back from his holidays haha my application went from Received to Initial Assessment. Apparently, the action required is to click on "I acknowledge that the documents are complete" button.  We applied on 05 March 2018.

Applied on 5th march its next day after mine. Is this happened today?

I wouldn't say so, personally - I've seen a few "software testers" get through with minimal waiting periods (there are the obvious exceptions).

As Software tester was removed on  march 18th  2018, do u think that why my application it is getting delayed? When my nomination was approved the role is in the list.
