Hi all! 309/100 granted this morning !entry by 7/11/2020.  So relieved hope yours all come soon!!

    Huge congrats.

I always assumed the date of entry was 12 months after the medical and/or police check was issued. looks like they may have changed that after the delays that have been happening is my only thought.

Looks like some decent movement now as most days there is a grant or 2.

Thank you @AK2910 its really hard waiting. I have been in Brisbane from mid July and loving it.  WE are so glad we made the move and yes the only down side is missing family and friends.  I face time my family a lot and my sister is arriving over in a few weeks so im really looking forward to showing her around.  I cant wait to hopefully get the visa approved and feel properly settled and also I am looking forward to working again.  I had to do a quick trip to New Zealand 2 weeks ago to renew my 3 month visa.  Im thinking of applying for the 600 which will give me a year but im holding off for a few weeks as i am hoping we get good news before that.

I have updated the chart and will share it on Friday with any other info I see and do it weekly there after.

Good luck with your new life in Australia it really is the most amazing country and we are very blessed to be here 🙂

This is the one i was talking abot, glad someone else took it forward.

@mppc how did you find arriving in Brisbane? we will be heading that way and i wonder what it will be like landing and getting a place to rent. Looking online it seems that the Aussie rental market is mostly unfurnished unlike London where its the opposite. Did you manage to get a furnished place? we are looking at northern suburns of Brisbane around Geebung area.

Any advice or how you experienced since first landing would be great to hear.

Almost on the precipice of applying for the 600, but good to hear that you took the other option and just went on the ETA. Have you already for the second ETA approved?

Sorry in advance for the long list of questions.

Fingers crossed for another flurry of grants this week

  3. Hi Everyone.

I assume everyone applying for the 309 in 2019 has experienced a longer delay in the grants or even RFIs than normal. Also seeing the estimated grant time has increased over this time.

Just wondering if anyone has heard the reason for this? I haven't used a MARA agent, but just in case someone on here has and has heard any reasons. We have applied from the UK, so not sure if its a global thing or a problem just with the UK processing office.

Obviously the pain of waiting is just awful, and any help to ease it would be appreciated.

  4. That's crazy. Huge congrats. Even though I imagine there are loads of envious people here.

Just out of curiosity, what is you circumstances with your application? E.g. kids etc, did you front load literally everything? Did you apply in the UK?

So many questions I know, but always good to have a yardstick

Sp excited or you and anyone here that gets the golden email.

Hey [mention=277910]Ryem[/mention], I just looked at the date you lodged and when you did medical. They are quite similar to mine (lodged April 15, medical July 2nd) I think that’s a smart move as your medical would expire 14 months after application which should be super safe! Hopefully they don’t need anything else than what you have provided!
I keep checking in here to see how you guys are going, my visa came through on Monday (left Australia on Sunday night). They gave me subclass 100 straight up which was more than I ever dared hoping for!!
    Fingers crossed for everyone!!

  5. This is a great wealth of knowledge to have for when we submit ours. I will most probably turn in to a stay at home dad for the short term as my wife cam return to work, until at least the 309 comes through. Her family are in the sunny coast so will be settling down in Brisbane.

Thank you SO much for your reply. It’s a huge help. I’m going for my medical on the 15th November so it’s done and dusted for both applications. Then I’m waiting for a bulk holiday pay payment from my employer as I am a stay at home Mum at the moment on Maternity leave. So we’re looking at flying out to Sydney early to mid February [emoji18][emoji18] so very exciting!
  6. My wife and little one (5 months old) just flew to oz for 3 weeks to see her family and flew with Emirates. She said she couldnt fault them going from having bags checked in business class to the little bits of added extra attention she had, which mattered a lot woth her travelling by herself. When we go over to oz we will be flying Emirates because of her experience.

Ooooo lovely! Keep me updated when you get there. Will keep me motivated [emoji23]
I’m not so looking forward to selling and packing everything up but the end goal is fab!
Who are you flying with? We’re going for Emirates as we’ve always had a decent experience although it will be our first time flying with our daughter who will be one!!
  7. Hey everyone, got the 600 this morning. We are heading to Aus in January [emoji846]

i do hope the 309 comes by then so i dont have to leave Aus for the grant but at this time just happy to be going really.

Good stuff half congrats are in order. At least you will be there, but fingers crossed the 309 will be done sooner rather than later.

How long did it take to come through? We are thinking about doing the same so we can head out there for christmas and beyond.

  8. Been feeling the same this week. This happened about 4-6 weeks ago before we saw theater 2018 applications being processed.

Just any movement would be great to see.

We are just on the verge of applying for the 600 visa.

Havent done any research on it, but w
Do you need any evidence when applying?

Also still wondering if you have to leave every 3 months. Anyone know what the specifics are after its granted?

Thank you!! It is a way bigger relief than I had imagined!

Ive only been here for two weeks, on a 12 months subclass 600.

Let me know if you have any questions about the process!

With the 600 visa, do you have to leave every 3 months? or can you stay for longer?

We are thinking of going down this route, but we expect to head out of Australia for new years and then come back to the UK for 2 weeks at the end of april.

Just wondering if we need to arrange another trip in between.

  10. just did my daily log in to check if i had missed an email and now the time frame is saying 16-21 months 😢 - looks like the delays are having an impact on that now.

Also just noticed a new section on bridging visas - has anyone else got this?

fingers crossed we get some more movement this coming week for some of the 2019 applications.

    Have a good weekend everyone

  11. We had an RFI for my wife's birth certificate despite uploading the passport and aussie citizenship certificate. If you have the evidence ready I would upload it so they don't RFI it.

    Hi All,
Just saying hello and joining the thread I've been watching for months now since I applied for a partner visa in May. I am waiting for an RFI to do police checks and medical. Haven't heard anything yet but I continue to upload any relevant documents.
Does anyone know if Sponsor's birth certificate is required or is a scan of the passport and Australian citizenship certificate enough?

  12. Thanks for the update.

How long did it take for you to get through on the number?

I was thinking if ringing, but I just have this expectation that it will be like any in ound call centre with a massive queue time.

I had this issue too. I rang immigration yesterday and had a conversation with a really helpful person. She was able to confirm that the files were still visible on their internal system - all from our original uploads to those after RFI. She also let some notes on my file to note that I’d called with this issue but files were still visible. She didn’t think it was necessary to upload files.
This was the first time I’d rung immigration but felt reassured- worth a quick call before uploading again, I think.

    Good luck!
  13. hey all.

so I have just checked after seeing the messages about documents going missing and my wifes (the sponsor) docs have disappeared. THe RFI we had requested her DOB as they referred to her place of birth which is outside of australia.

I also cant see the latest documents that i uploaded on the 4th August.

Just thinking does anyone know if i should reattach the documents? or does this put you to the back of the RFI queue?
