Hi there yes , my son completed the permission to apply element in the sponsorship part of the visa , we thought we had given robust reasons for me to stay in Australia so I could apply for my part of the visa. It was declined - no reason. My sons sponsorship was approved in the same letter. So disappointingly, I have had to leave Australia to apply for the visa and await processing. Does that help?

My son was emailed by Immigration.... He has now been approved...I have applied then requested to get a medical, after that was submitted then requested to get police checks ....It all takes time....hope you have had some response by now. cheers tina

We applied end of April And had a request 10 days ago for birth certificate ( which we had uploaded) and since then nothing

Has anybody updates on sponsorship approvals as yet....1st July is imminent for parent applications ....has any sponsors been approved yet.?

Applications for the new visa are on line applications only....how can they be all prepared ready to go ? With an agent....

Thanks for that.....does it have to be consecutive months or can you break it up? Was planning to do 6 months in Aus then 3 months out of the country , 6 months in Aus then another 3 months out of the country for the next 3 years...if that makes sense..

Hi there i am new to the site and find the visa process so complex. I have applied for contrubutaory parent visa 143 ( 1/3/2017) currently on a e visitors visa which expires in November...I am going to apply for tourist 600 on line and on shore....does the 12 months within 18 month criteria start from expiry of the existing visa or if and when the 600 is granted. Also do you have to stay 12 months consecutively or can you stay 5 months then out for 3 back then back for 7 months then out for 3 months? Thanks in advance....
