  1. I agree with you to some extent but not as a whole. All the permanent visas are included in annual immigration intake while subclass 309 is a temporary visa. Australian Federal Elections are most probably going to happen in Mid-May but i don’t think this will effect temporary visas including 309. The only concern from the department of home affairs is strict security concerns. All the best
  2. Your grand can come at any day very soon. I have the exact same timeline. No interview yet. Submitted all the required documents on 14th January, since then waiting
  3. May June applicants are waiting and they have provided all the required documents, i hope they are working on it and start grands soon Patience
  4. How long since you have provided all the outstanding documents? been 4-5 weeks for me.
  5. @Kashif45 the annual permanent immigration quota for Australia is going to be the same around 190k this year. The applicant and sponsor need to address the issues the department raised reasonabley and logically before the tribunal in order to get the visa. It doesn’t depend on minimizing the immigration.
  6. Again i would recommend you to get professional advise while going to AAT. You need to gave them valid reasons on why the tribunal should reverse the decision. You can also get priority processing If you have any compelling reasons. Good luck
  7. Its been 4 weeks since i have provided all the outstanding documents, no interview yet
  8. I hope you have provided all the required documents in the checklist including medical/police checks in order to avoid further delay. I am in the same timeline and I am pretty sure we will receive grant soon. Also find out how many more weeks you can travel according to your medical condition. Good Luck
  9. If your husband was onshore on bridging visa, he should have applied for BVB with travel rights which could take 2 weeks. Anyway’ as now the requirement for 309 is fulfilled (offshore) I hope the department will send him the grant soon.
  10. I am also waiting for the department to inform me to leave the country for the decision. Your husband should have emailed his case officer to enquire about the time during before he went offshore. And also i was wondering what visa he will enter the country again? BVB or 309?
  11. Inform the department via email explain your situation with recent medical history. If the criteria for a grant is a valid 12 months medical including x ray then it could possibly delay your decision.
  12. How long usually the department take after you provide them all the requested outstanding docs including health/character/relationships?
  13. The case officer should have mentioned it in the email, According to my research on this thread they make a decision and put the decision in the system before they emailed you. Once you scan your passport in the airport, you become offshore and you should get decision email in 48 hours but still i am not sure. On the safe side get a return ticket of 4-5 days. I reckon Leave Monday, reurn Friday.
  14. I applied for another substantial visa and i am on BVA, i was on BVB/offshore at the time of 309 lodgement.
  15. Hi Congratulations, can you please share when he submitted all the outstanding documents after the generic email, i have the same case, applied offshore for 309, now onshore waiting for their call to go offshore
  16. Can i apply family sponsered visitor visa (subclass 600) for my wife’s parents online on my immi account or do i need to create immi account for both of them?
  17. It won’t take much longer then. Few weeks sooner or later, Family immigration quota is specific numbers/ countries for specific times.
  18. In some situations you might need to have some more tests which can delay the decision on your application. I know a case where the applicant had a Tuberculosis history which delayed his application but not refused. This link might be helpful. https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/meeting-our-requirements/health
  19. If you provide all the outstanding/updated documents/medical within 28 days deadline after receiving generic email. You should expect decision any time soon.
  20. @KhiApr did you provide all the outstanding docs in the checklist in 28 days deadline after the generic email. If yes’ you should have got the decision by now.
  21. If you don’t provide the required docs, don’t hope for coming weeks to be better. If there is an issue in uploading outstanding docs into immi account, contact the consulate/ seek technical help and provide the outstanding documents so that you get the decision.
