Yes, mainly because AoS took 7-8 months and we had to resend all documents because PVC team said they didn't receive them 2 months later.
Considering, the current situation with centrelink 7-8 months period for AOS does not sound bad at all.

Congrats Peter...hopefully you ll get your visa in few weeks

Anybody recently got AOS interview. Please just update the queue members if any got. Thanks.
Nope, no update. we tried calling centrelink couple of times and even sent a fax to the team that is responsible for AOS. But no response from them.

@Merryweather Thanks for taking time for sharing your experience in OZ.

Dear all, I'm extremely glad and excited to inform everyone that my parents have finally received their Parent Contributory Visa yesterday. It took nearly 40+ months to get there but has been a roller coaster ride. Thanks all for great information shared here. HURRAY !! Can't wait to see them now Good luck everyone in waiting, patience pays off. Cheers
Congrats, long wait is over for you guys

Atleast they provide an estimation of time frame. Dealing with centrelink is a lot worse. they don't even provide any information on time frames. Everytime you call them they tell you a different story.

Nope, it does not seem to be any quicker as 20 weeks have been passed since the lodgement of our AOS application.

When did you apply for your visa? The more I read about the AOS process the more I dread it. Just when you think your nearly there you have more stress heaped on you.
We are on 103 subclass and we applied in 2009. But i think the process for AOS is same for all visa. just the bond amount may be different.

Hiiii
Usually how much time is taken by DHS to finalize AoS ? It's really disgusting whatever
Most of may lodgers are still waiting to get for interview call. Worst thing about centrelink that they don't even give you correct information.
when we applied we were told that somebody ll contact us within 28 days. but when we called after that period, lady on the phone told us that it can take about 16-18 weeks. but now even 18 weeks have been passed and still haven't heard a word from them.

What is the AOS
AOS = Assurance of Support
I think this is the worst part in the whole journey of processing visa

Hiii dear when did you apply your AOS?
I have applied mine on 22/08/2018. At that time they said that they will call u within 28 days but till now nothing. Now they are saying from 1 july 2018 the processing time is 6 to 18 weeks for AOS.
How much time immigration will take after aos for 2 vac?
Please help .Anyone has any idea?
Aos is taking lot longer than that. We applied on last week of may and yet to hear anything back from centrelink.
most people normally get their visa within 2 week after fulfilling the 2nd Vac request
-
wondering if anyone who has applied for AOS in may got an interview call yet? the whole process seems to be stuck and centrelink is not providing any information.

@Geoffandgill congrats guys.

thats a long time, did you try contact them?
on visa tracker sheet, someone applied for AOS on 18 may and got phone interview in August.
Its really strange how centrelink process these applications

@Gurtej teji @Ray and Geri @Judy @Peter2
Did you guys hear anything from centrelink after applying for AOS? More than 20 weeks have already been passed.
Does anyone know how centrelink prioritise applications? some folks get their phone call earlier than others...

The 103 visa is a long wait and eight years may be a bit optimistic. We applied May 2010, our queue date is 24 December 2010, we are now 3460 in the queue which I expect will take us to 2020 before we get accepted. However I was interested in you saying that August 2010 is now being considered. Where did this information come from? also can anyone who also applied in 2010 please let us know if you have been contacted about police checks ect. We aren't 100% sure, (because of our age), whether we will eventually end up in Australia and I suspect there are a lot who are also thinking along the same lines. I have loved keeping a check on all the many people that have passed through this forum and the information and advise given by so many. Keep up the good work.
My mum applied in 2009 and our queue date is Aug 2010. we got allotted case officer in may and now we are waiting for AOS processing. hope she gets her visa soon.

I think they report directly to immigration department about outcome of AOS application

About 10 days ago i was advised by department that AOS applications were taking about 16 weeks to process. Did you get this information from centrelink or immigration department
