Transfer of funds Uk State pension

We have just arrived in Australia. My husband gets his state pension and called the international pension centre last week to let them know we were moving. He was advised that the payment can continue to be paid to his UK bank or they can pay it to an overseas account. The only problem with that is you will have no control over the exchange rate. Hope this helps.
  2. Why don't you have a free initial consultation with an agent. I can recommend Alan Collett at go matilda, details on their website.

    Finding a sponsor

Did you pay on a credit card? If you did is there the chance of a claim under section 75 of the consumer credit act if they have not provided the service you expected.

Best way to transfer money to UK account

If you use HSBC to transfer UK to Oz why not use them for the reverse? I use HSBC and the rate has always been favourable to others and the transfer is instant.

    Shipping

Have a look at Movecube ala Tetris by Kevsan July 17 2015 in shipping and removals.

We are also using a cube and have a mix of plastic and cardboard boxes together with a couple of suitcases.

Have you tried national savings and investments? Backed by the government so full amount of savings are safe.

    UK NATIONAL INSURANCE CONTRIBUTIONS

Not sure about NI contributions you could check the government website. Re his pension I have been advised by UK international pension centre that if you make sure HMRC have your Australian address they will know where to get in touch about 4 months before it is due to be paid.

Choosing Shipping - Movecube or Allied Pickfords

Yes that looks like my packing area we may have got more boxes filled at the moment. Don't have a date for shipping yet as we are still waiting for visas. I am finding the inventory the worst bit. We had started packing up but didn't put how many so had to open boxes to count things up. You can start the inventory and then save it for later. It's a bit of a chore so maybe worth taking a look now. Good luck.
  10. We have had the phone call just waiting for the acceptance letter.
  11. Centrelink are issuing AOS rejection letters in error. As they are so far behind their system is not recognising when documents have been provided by the applicant and is automatically sending a rejection letter.

Thanks for the information. We are moving UK to Australia so looking at the thread I don't think it applies.

We have started packing for our cube. They are delivering the starter pack this morning. Please tell me what TOR is. I'm dreading this bit.
