    Hi frds,

I got my Employer sponsored application(187) accepted a year back. But due to delay in my IELTS I submitted all the documents in the month of April 2018.

But the processing time is showing 21-25 months from April 2018. There is no change at all. But the issue is the application was accepted a year back and still its showing 21-25 months.

Anyone has any idea on this.

Employer sponsored application: do you mean the nomination was approved?

  2. Spoke to my MA today. I’ve been waiting 12 months and 2 weeks approx, I asked when I should do my medical & police checks... she said wait longer, because of current wait times. What I took from that is... nothing is changing in the near future, or getting better! Keep on keeping on people.

Why the gov is trying to push us to stay in the regional area. If they really wanna fullfil the occupational Demand on regional area they should stop 187 and 186 visa and the other visa like where you need sponsor to get your PR. What they should do, they need to tell us stay in the regional area for 5 years and work on a same occupation for  5 years for any organization and show us the group certificates and get your PR straight way.there is no need to do that much drama . Just pissed off !!!!

5 years is a long time if you are unhappy / mistreated by your employer which I believe a lot of people are. They could stop all 187 visa applications, draw a line. Process the ones that are left and abolish the 187 and create something similar but with stricter rules around 'regional settling'. They should not stop processing because they don't know how to cope with the inundation of applications / migrants - they created this mess and need to live up to the offer made to us... we are all keeping up our end of the bargain.

    Hi,

    Today this long trip ended.

    image.thumb.png.63fc5d1129e5f134a384b0b0d2cd7acc.png

    Some details:

    • Office Manager
    • 187 DE
    • HR Country
    • 2 adults + 1 child
    • company +30 employees, QLD

Visa, nomination, RCB submitted in September 2016

    Nomination approved in July 2018.

Additional documents requested: medical examination, proof of relationship.

    Waiting time:

    • 61,689,600 seconds
    • 1,028,160 minutes
    • 17,136 hours
    • 714 days
    • 102 weeks
    • 23 months and 14 days
    • 195.62% of a common year (365 days)

Here are some my remarks for you, however, I am not a migration agent, so use them on your own risk:

    • choose your immigration agent wisely. Price shouldn't be the main factor. Ask him/her about the previous cases, strategy, chances, plan B.
    • choose your employer wisely, this is the most important factor. The bigger the company the better.
    • improve your skills, participate in courses, show this to the Immi. I uploaded all my new certificates as soon as I received them.
    • upload payslips, BAS, current letters from accountant. I uploaded BAS every 3 months, payslips every 1-2 months, letter from accountant after every year.
    • ask your employer to write a letter to Immi if there are any positive changes in the company - company is growing, revenue is bigger, there are new contracts, more employees etc.

I wish you good luck! I am very happy now! ?

Huge congratulations to you, and your family! ?

Yes. Wish everyone good news!!! Stay positive! I don’t think the time line of 21-25 months is for everyone though. It must be depending on the Case Officer too I guess.

It is dependant on the need for the occupation. They are crying out for medical professionals. Congratulations!

    Good question.

I don't think so but if you do ask, I would be keen to know the answer. I think that it wouldn't that be highly unfair to the people who are working with their sponsored employer and have been for over a year or so... and still waiting for visa decision too!?

    Hello everyone,

Could you please tell me, when immigration count the processing time of 187 visa direct entry? means Are they start count time from first step RCB or they start count from second step nomination.

Rcb    Rcb     lodged  november 2016 and approved december 2016.

Nomination  lodged  febuary 2017 and  approved febuary 2018.

Visa application lodged  febuary 2018 and still waiting.

    thank you

I think it's from the date you lodge your full application, so visa.

    Agree ?

But for example when the application is offshore then what? employee won't start working until visa is approved so how can they assess if they really need it or no?

in other places the employment contract states that the commence date is upon visa approval, so again here what? ??

That is what I was implying. Working for them now or not, does not go towards your application.

    I’d say it is.

If you work full-time with the sponsoring business you are showing they really need you (position is existant and they can afford to pay you) and your chances are much better than being employed elsewhere.

Also is better for you to start working there full-time (contracted) as it will count towards the 2 obligatory years.

    Good luck.

Yeah but if you read the initial message...... the additional work is with his sponsoring employer, the person in question still working full time for another employer! It does not count towards the two years in any way.

    Hi friends,

I lodged my file in feb 2018 as restaurant manager in Sunshine Coast, and I am currently working full time in Brisbane with another employer. My sponsoring employer wants me to work in Sunshine Coast for few hours a week, am  I allowed to work part-time as restaurant manager as well?

Yes because technically you can do as you please until the visa has been approved.... the 2 years begin after the grant. What we are doing right now is not affecting our visa - sadly! :*(
