  1. Hey everyone, I am really hoping there is someone who can help me.

I am a chef, 3 years part time exp before commercial cookery C4 in Australia, and then 5 years full time after graduation performed as a chef in Australia.

Had a successful assessment done as a chef last year, but have not done point advice yet. Here are my questions,

1, Am I eligible for point advice as a chef with only C4 qualification, not a diploma?

2,If yes, does my working exp before my graduation count?

I really appreciate someone who has done this or who can help me out.

I got pay rise from company every year ;( it broke my heart looks like decided NO without even checking my file ?

Company is expanding day by day - profit margins are increasing... acc to the officer company invested a lot in last year and they did not see much  profit. I really don't understand this ... company has invested for bigger machines which means production scale is going up  .... because sales are increasing. so so so disappointed.

I'm so sorry to hear that. what'syour occupation by the way?

Same they didn't ask for further information.

    Very frustrating.

hi,im a cook too,it is not often to hear nomination of cook.being rejected. whats the reason? is it your company attention? or because the size of the restaurant. if a cooks pisition not genuine in a restaurant, then what pisition is?

Hi guys, regular follower of poms here from last 7 months. Applied in dec 2017

Occupation - chef. Trt. Still received.

Busy days short of staff im getting stressed out with loads of pressure. Life became  so tough. Dont know how long this is gonna take. when this is gonna finish. God please grant me soon before i go in depression and anxiety. I dont need pr when i loose my health.

me too, a chef, who applied dec 2017 as well, but through DE. however, in totally understand what your feeling is like. look at te bright side, at least your company is running good, position genuine, it's just a matter of time. if all those approved cooks spend 11-12monts waiting for granting, your one should come shortly. finger crossed

Business making gud profit. MA also got shock hw fight back. But doesn't know how long take.

how big is the restaurant? does it have table service or major customers are based on. takeaway? how many. staff in total, especially those who has similar role as you? how many of them are pr/ citizen? in really don't understand if a business making good profit, where the hell " position. not. genuine" comes from.

I applied for ens186 September 2017. All documents submit. No problem in documents.

File opened in June. Straightway got nomination refusal reason no genuine position showing in paper. MA provide all the documents. It's very desperate time immi didn't ask for documents.

Don't know what we do now. AAT taking long time.

is. the restaurant running at loss? if not, thats really. strange. is it trt or de? speak with your ma, find out what exactly doesn't satisfy the immi co.

    Just an update.

Could't help but call the NSW office and got through within 15 seconds. I wanted to know if there was anything I needed to provide as my nom was approved with no docs requested.

Had a quick chat with a very nice lady who checked the file. She said they were assessing it now and it would be very soon.

Call in total was probably 2mins long max.

    So..its coming soon!

congrats, man, it's on the way

well thats none of us would be able to find out the truth. But, based on my research on this forum and talk with my other mates and my experience .. there are a lot of factors. some of them are based on your visa subclass, your occupation, your passport as well. my friend applied chef 190 in feb 2018, she just received the invitation to apply last week. another friend applied 186 direct entry for some unusual occupation, he got granted in less than 3
months. My another friend applied 186 TRT chef in august, he hasnt heard anything. and based on the spreadsheet, have a look and judge yourself what occupations got granted very quick and what happened to cook and chef...

Hi, my friend, you just mentioned one of your friends, a chef received invitation through190, which I am planning to do. instead waiting for something uncertain, but important, I d love to try 190 as well. do you mind telling me that how many original point your chef friend have before she applied 190 and which state please. it's really important to me at the moment. Thank you very much!

I think your one will come shortly as those application from last June being granted lately. Medicare card is not the issue as long as you don't stop your overseas insurance.
