Not likely to happen, you're going to have to go it alone as Australia is closed to international visitors. There are plenty of Australian citizens who want to return and cant get back so they really need to have priority. Could your wife fly back to Pakistan to have the baby if she is that unable to cope?
Thanks for your reply. We actually first assessed the option of flying to Pakistan, but after consulting with our GP here and some family doctors in Pakistan, we came to the conclusion that delivering the baby will be better here mainly due to the health facilities that are provided here are very good, plus my wife has developed gestational diabetes due to pregnancy and her consultation doctors here are following with her to control her diabetes. She needs to attend the hospital whenever the doctor calls her.
Don't you think we should actually explain the case to the case officer with the supported documentation and maybe they issue visas on compassionate grounds?
Thanks.

Hi.
I and my wife are expecting our second baby in August 2021. Our first baby is 10 months and it will be difficult for us to handle things during the delivery of the second baby. Therefore, we want to call my mother-in-law from overseas on "Visitor visa (subclass 600) Sponsored family stream".
Due to the current (Covid-19) situation, I understand entering and leaving Australia is not easy.
But at the same time, we need my mother-in-law to be here with us during the delivery time as my wife is already feeling very depressed due to the things we will face during the delivery of our second baby.
The delivery is in August so maybe things will get better by that time? As vaccine has already rolled-out. Also, we live in Perth and here the situation is comparatively better than the rest of the country. My mother-in-law lives in Pakistan where the vaccine is already started. Maybe she can get vaccinated before she comes here.
Please advise. What can we do to make our case strong?
Bye.

Thank you so much for your ideas. I have contacted my MP and he said “i’ll contact the department to ask if there’s a reason for delay and whether any information is outstanding” and also that it may take a week for them to get back to me. Fingers crossed.
In the mean time, im also planning my visit.
That's good news :).
Hope you'll get soon.
Good luck !!

@Lilly23 Thank you for your reply. So a couple days ago I did send them a feedback on their website saying how unfair it is to us we’ve been waiting for too long and i have received the same reply “ Department is unable to give you definitive timeframe” AND they also have added “we thank you for your patience and would appreciate if you keep your contact to the department to a minimum, to allow processing of your own and others as quickly as possible.” Just reading this response really made me upset. Even though I explained to them everything nicely how the delay was effecting our relationship, they clearly don’t care. Now i’m thinking I HAVE to talk to my local MP.
I’ve reached out to the MP before but I didn’t go ahead with it because i wanted to wait until 21 month is passed the global timeframe, but now that it’s way beyond that, i want to contact the MP. Fingers crossed. I honestly don’t know why our application is taking too long.
With travelling aspect, i had studies but now i think it’s becoming absolutely compulsory to do something.
Yes, contact the local MP as your application has crossed the global timeline. This is not a bad idea at all.
However, as others pointed out, arranging a short visit to your partner could be a turning point for your case. As far as I understand, the department takes this visitng thing very seriously. A member's (Jibran) visa was rejected just because he didn't visit his wife & son for over 2 years.
You need to show/proof to department what is the priority for you; studies/work or partner? It might not make sense but I think this is how the department assesses the cases.
Good luck with your visa. Hope you'll get it ASAP.

This is one of the major reason why Indian & Pakistani visa process have lengthy timelines
Although its related to citizenship case but several such stories can be found for Partner visa as well.

I guess agents are useless unless you need serious help. AHC islamabad doesn't respond because they says ask your agent to email. Migration agent just keep telling stories to avoid extra bit of work. Because they've taken all the payments.
My application is still in progress, don't know how should i deal with this migration agent.
I many time think to take over myself, but i paid agent $3500. And she is useless. In real i see people with no migration agent get visa faster on average but not all. (Just my observation)
I did my skilled independent immigration and then partner visa myself. I didn't hire an agent as I think they're just there if your case is complex and/or you're too occupied to prepare your application by yourself. If this is not the case, then I think it's just a waste of money.
I did take consultation on my Partner visa from a well known MARA agent and the agent gave me some good advice as well one wrong advise/feedback as well. This left me with an experience that being a MARA agent doesn't mean your case is perfectly presented to the immigration.
Anyways, I wish you and others good luck.

I agree.
My agent says same. Agent says they don't like being pushed. That's why my agent is not sending an enquiry to immigration.
However i sometimes feel, agents don't write them to save own time. Because many people got their visa in less than 12 months and they were written an email to immigration every month.
I guess we three has been sent for extra security checks.
Your DOL was just one month before me, therefore, I was following your posts here as well. And I realized that your case is delayed because your agent is not writing/pushing the CO. I remember, you once shared here that your agent is waiting to complete 22 months (or whatever max time) and then he will contact CO. I think your agent is just saving his/her reputation with the immigration, that if he will contact immigration frequently, then his reputation will effected negatively and his other cases will also be impacted. This looks a very selfish apporach to me.
Good luck.

Same case as me I waited since 12 June 2017and it has passed 26 months now I'm still waiting I been writing to ask for update they say the same thing all the time but I'm sick of writing I just sit back and waited now and it has blown my mind now because they don't feel sorry that we have 4 children under 7 and I've been doing both mother and fathers responsibility since they were all born
@Kina Sa and @Ifseh Your timelines are way too much. You guys need to take serious actions in order to get visa ASAP. I would advise you below two points:
1) Contact/Use local MP channel for priority processing. Search previous posts in this thread where members have discussed how to use this option.
2) Try to visit your spouse, means spent some time (weeks, months) together and upload pictures to immiAccount and notify your visit to CO via email. I've personally experienced that visiting spouses, and spending time together while the application is in progress, leaves a very positive impact on your application and you'll get the quick decision on your application.
Finally, please keep praying, hajat nafils, and wazifa as I believe they have a real impact on our affairs.
Good luck.

Guys im so confused if i should consult a lawyer/migration agent or not. My husband’s application is on an ongoing process since 2 years now, me and my husband always communicate to the department ourselves and have always been given generic answers. so at this point now idk if consulting a lawyer can help? can a lawyer or agent do something to accelerate the process or will it be a waste of money? please give some suggestions
You may take consultation. But I think not visiting your husband is probably the main reason for your visa getting delayed.
Good luck.

hey mates
just wanted a quick advise on the 40SP online form for:
I had previously lodged sponsorship for my ex-wife and later withdrew it and resulted in no 309 visa.Qs : Has this sponsor previously sponsored/nominated a spouse, de facto, prospective spouse or interdependent partner?do I answer this to be a YES or NO? 309 visa wasnt granted beforethxI reckon "No" because the sponsorship process didn't completed successfully because you had withdrawn your sponsorship application. Assuming you've already provided stat dec stating the same withdrawn scenario.
Good luck.

Assalam-o-Alikum to all,
Good morning
I would like to share the good news with you guys, as you guys are going in tough times.
By the Grace of ALLAH my wife's and son's visa has been granted. (subclass 100)
DOL : 25/06/2018
First email, which is i think generic email. 24 Jan 2019 ( I submitted PCC at this time not before and some other documents)
then Second email for more documents on 4 APR 2019 (asked for missing documents Like photos and IDs of who gave statutory declaration ) they asked some photos about my wife's visit to Dubai, Which I didn't have it and as suggested by some member here, I emailed them and said due to some reason, we don't have photos but I'm attaching the Visa and ticket.
Interview call, on 6th May 2019 . They called 2 times but wife missed it and I didn't bother to contact them or email them.
Visa Granted : 9th May 2019
I would suggest yous guys to Pray and ask ALLAH's help and let them do their jobs. If you bother them, they'll think something is wrong. (that's my opinion only, I might be wrong)
Lastly, I wish all you to get your visa soon and ALLAH help you guys, especially DR. Samra.
Any question welcome but my answer will be delay.
Once again Thanks all of you guys, it really helped me reading your discussion through out the Process.
JAZAKALLAH khair
Congratulations!! Very good news. Thanks for sharing.
Have a lovely life with family

Abbottabad one i asked blood relative to make but the police told him that applicant should be presented here herself for picture. Applied Islamabad one today and Lahore police mentions that applicant wasn’t present here herself and DHA might have an issue with that too so going there myself to get it.
Good luck. I hope this holy month brings good news for you, IA.

Today Received 2nd time request for updated AFP of husband.
and 3rd time request of my updated PCCs after turning 16 years of age from Abbottabad, Islamabad and Lahore.
Guys this is so disturbing behaviour of Home Affairs. On what basis they keep dragging certain cases? And what benefit they get by jumping the processing queue?
Someone said to me, we can apply for the FOI Act on our cases, so at least we will know what is blocking our applications to process. Anyone has any info on FOI so please share.
Thanks.

Hi everyone!
My case officer previously asked me to provide updated PCC but it only covered present address. I was then asked to provide pcc which covered all addresses since i turned 16. I uploaded it right away . They replied that they have received the document. Now they have again asked me to provide same pcc and mentioned that you have only provided the pcc that covered only only present address even though I have provided it before.
What should I do now? Should I tell them that I have previously uploaded pcc, so check it again or should I attach this pcc via email. I have heard that attaching documents via email delays the application.
I think upload again and also tell them that you had already uploaded these pcc.
AFP i got in 3 days.
Attach at immi a/c.
Good luck

Hi all.
Thank you very much for sharing your feedback, experiences, and advice.
I understand in the current situation (Covid-19) entering and leaving Australia is not easy as borders have hard restrictions. Therefore, our first priority is to prepare well and prepare for the worst case. The good thing is that we still have some time in the delivery of the baby and therefore we're trying our best to prepare mentally, especially myself so that I can give support to my wife. My wife has spoken to her GP and has discussed her depression issues. GP has also advised us few things on how to cope with depression and how to handle situtation.
As others suggested, that there is no harm in applying, therefore, we will give it a chance and will keep our fingers crossed!
Thanks again!
Lilly.
