  1. Hello everyone. By the grace of Allah my husband has been granted his visa. ALHAMDOLILAH!!! For reference for those who have not come across my posts before, my husband’s application had a VERY long waiting time. DOL: July 2017 Interview & Medical submission: March 2018 And then they disappeared. No matter how much I tried, I tried EVERYTHING but all they told me was his application is under security checks. I tried talking to MP and everything else. Up to this day we don’t know what were those checks. So anyway I came to Pakistan to live with my husband in Nov 2019 and due to Corona I have been living here for a while. So Ofcourse I gave them updates, sent them photos of us from time to time BUT the main thing that helped his application is the fact that I got pregnant. When I shared the news of my pregnancy with immi and sent through my scans and our photos together, they were closed here in Pakistan but after two months when they were back on track they responded to my emails & asked for a renewed police clearance and medical certificate, my husband went and did his medical examination and then we submitted his police clearance and ONE day later his visa was granted. They sent me two grants, first 309 and then 100. Which means my husband got his PERMENANT visa granted ALHAMDOLILAH MASHALLAH!! We are beyond happy and relieved. Good things definitely come to those who wait. So my advice to everyone stuck is to make sure you do visit and by visit I mean long term visits like at least 3-4 months and provide as much proof of your genuine relationship as possible at the time while you’re living together. And be strong, one day it will all come to an end until then patience is all you can have. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!
  2. Thank you dear for your reply. You are correct about Department not moving on compassionate grounds as I can tell by now they are heartless. We had provided 2 x 888 forms and our own statements when we lodged my husband’s application. They never contacted anyone we mentioned but only interviewed me in March 2018 and then they disappeared. Nothing from then onwards. Ive had a look at the FOI form and I will be going ahead with it as it seems logical I request for details given its been so long. For now I’m waiting for flight back home, as soon as Im back I will engage with a lawyer, honestly im so done with the Department I want it over with already. Thanks again for your help.
  3. Hi AH123, I am currently uploading my scans and my doctor has written a letter as well in regards to his application being processed so he can be with me throughout my pregnancy but its been 3 months now and I have not gotten a single response from the department. Usually they would reply my email in a few days but this time they just aren’t replying me at all. I take it that the department is closed but people are getting their visas granted so idk what’s going on here. My pregnancy currently is the biggest evidence I can give them about our relationship. Nope they haven’t asked for anything since his medical examination in March 2018.
  4. Hi everyone, my husband’s application is under process since July 2017 and ive travelled in Nov 2019 from Australia to be here in Pakistan with him. Now we are expecting a baby and i’ve emailed department on June 1st about it and told them that I will go back soon and can’t travel alone now and be quarantined alone in hotel so if they can process my husband’s application but i’ve got no reply. From what I read here everyone is saying they only are working on emergency cases so I just don’t know how to let them know now that this is also emergency case. If anyone could suggest me something im really stressed and don’t know what to do. Are they not replying because the immigration centre in Pakistan is closed? I don’t think they will take my enquiry if i call, maybe I should try and call?
  5. Dear I have complained but they keep saying it takes time to finalise & we can not guarantee a timeframe for everyone. I haven’t spoken to a lawyer as a friend of mine who lodged her application through lawyer said that at this point even a lawyer can’t help much since the department isn’t saying there’s something wrong, they’re only taking time to process the application. just very confused as to why it’s taken us this long.
  6. Hi everyone, I have mentioned about my husband’s application here before, I think im the only one from 2017 lodgement that hasn’t been granted visa yet. So i’ve recently visited my husband and I’m pregnant now Alhamdolilah so my question is how do I inform immigration? Do i just email them my “positive” test results or a get a formal letter from my doctor?
  7. Thank you so much for your ideas. I have contacted my MP and he said “i’ll contact the department to ask if there’s a reason for delay and whether any information is outstanding” and also that it may take a week for them to get back to me. Fingers crossed. In the mean time, im also planning my visit.
  8. @Lilly23 Thank you for your reply. So a couple days ago I did send them a feedback on their website saying how unfair it is to us we’ve been waiting for too long and i have received the same reply “ Department is unable to give you definitive timeframe” AND they also have added “we thank you for your patience and would appreciate if you keep your contact to the department to a minimum, to allow processing of your own and others as quickly as possible.” Just reading this response really made me upset. Even though I explained to them everything nicely how the delay was effecting our relationship, they clearly don’t care. Now i’m thinking I HAVE to talk to my local MP. I’ve reached out to the MP before but I didn’t go ahead with it because i wanted to wait until 21 month is passed the global timeframe, but now that it’s way beyond that, i want to contact the MP. Fingers crossed. I honestly don’t know why our application is taking too long. With travelling aspect, i had studies but now i think it’s becoming absolutely compulsory to do something.
  9. Hi everyone , i’ve talked about my husband’s application here before but i’ll mention again the DOL is July 2017. further documents provided in april 2018. since then nothing. I have called to their formal complaint line in April to which i got the same response as “checks are being completed” My husband has tried asking for priority processing regarding my health providing my psychologist letter and everything but that didn’t got any satisfactory recognition either we were told applications are not prioritised but dealt with according to date of lodgement however i know people from 2018,2019 have gotten their visas and we’re waiting since 2017!!! Since it’s now almost been 25 months, I was thinking I should make another formal complaint this time write it to the department website? Has anyone got any ideas about this process, does it help in speeding up the process? i’m concerned it might backfire since i’ve heard department secretly puts those people on hold who complain often. but at the same time, it’s our right to complain if the processing time has blown out. Im so confused we’re honestly running out of patience now.
  10. I am waiting for my husband’s visa decision since July 2017. 25 months almost now.
  11. Guys im so confused if i should consult a lawyer/migration agent or not. My husband’s application is on an ongoing process since 2 years now, me and my husband always communicate to the department ourselves and have always been given generic answers. so at this point now idk if consulting a lawyer can help? can a lawyer or agent do something to accelerate the process or will it be a waste of money? please give some suggestions
  12. No my husband has never travelled before. He has no visas breeched or anything of that sort. he has literally absolutely clear record but still they’re doing “checks” the only thing is that he is from Balochistan and a male applicant. someone on this forum said male applicants from balochistan go through extensive checks but it’s already been two years idk how long they need for checks
  13. I have written to them my psychologist gave a detailed letter mentioning all my emotional difficulties and how i have to be a career for my mum and how his visit visa was also refused so if they can please speed up the process but they’ve said the same thing again for us to wait and have said ‘if a decision is made to request further information we will contavt you’ i honestly don’t understand what is it that’s holding them up
  14. When we lodged our application i did go and visit him we spent 4 months together i sent the department our photos too now i can’t because im my mother’s career and my psychologist sent them a letter saying that i cant visit due to being a career so if they can speed up so my husband can come but still no speed up. we applied for visitor visa for him and it got rejected due to lack of previous travel. the concern is that he had his medicals and interview 3 months after i came back from my visit and after that there is no news. been 15 months since the medicals done now. it has expired by now
  15. Hi everyone, Just like a member here Dr Samra, my husband’s application has also been going on since July 2017. and on this july 15 it’ll be 24 months since the lodgement. Interview and medical was requested in march 2018 and has expired now. so has the PCC. I just don’t understand what’s going on here our case is straight forward. No previous marriages or visa refusals etc nothing. When enquired, only tells me that security checks are going on. I request for everyone to PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pray for us. we’ve not seen eachother since 17 months now Please pray that he is granted his visa soon may Allah ease everyone’s pain!
