Well i got my nomination approved last Thursday after immigration called my work place and asked 50,000 questions....

Then updated police check and medical requested - got a medical appointment the next day (Tues this week) ans applied for police cert same day - still waiting for these in the post.

What i'm thinking and this is my law of attraction again....is that case officer MAYBE not want to open a new file JUST before xmas so they maybe (JUST ,MAYBE) will check through all the open cases that are just awaiting updated documents earlier then the 28 days so they can clear the backlog before Christmas and start a fresh next year!

This way of thinking has given me a ray of hope that i MAYBE JUST MAYBE may have my PR this year which would just finish this year off beautifully for me and start 2019 with a bang!

The criteria is that you need to have shown a genuine effort to stay with your employer. Basically it needs to be a genuine position in the first place and then you can't just skip as soon as you get your PR.

Ive been in the role for 4 years and have done well. I just got headhunted and couldn't turn it down. I would have stayed and never intended to leave just yet! I think that I can demonstrate that fairly easily if asked.

Holiday wise i've been skiing twice, had a trip to the reef and have my trips locked in for next year.

Also Ive just been offered a job by the government no less. So after all this, I may be moving jobs in two weeks ha!

I think you may have misjudged Mr Morrison. He doesn't care about immigrants like us and thats evident in his comments on foreign policy. The only thing I would say would work in our favour is that he understands the economics of immigration and its contribution to the economy. I doubt he would reduce the target but he may get rid of occupations which are not as highly skilled as others/or in demand.

Yep the citizenship bill, although defeated once already, will probably go through if the liberals stay in. Malcolm will need to choose his battles if he does win with the hard right of his party. Citizenship for migrants is not worth the effort and the left don't really care either when compared to say energy.

Im also going to call it now... Citizenship legislation will change and come into force in Feb next year

Mate Malcolm is going to have to call an election asap. You heard it hear first - Election in November latest! I actually have an event Im running in early November and the PM is meant to be our keynote dinner speech....God forbid I have to welcome and host Peter Dutton!!! I despise the man!

Dutton will resign now but challenge Malcolm if he doesn't call it. He only needs seven people to cross the line and its over.
