  1. Hi PsychNurse, Do you think they make allowances for sharing the invites amongst the different professions needed? or is it just down to having the highest points?
  2. From what I've been able to work out you can't see where you are ranked within skillselect. Some people are estimating it through looking at the previous rounds - lowest points getting invited for each profession and the DOE (Date of Effect). Personally I can't quite figure it all out and the system seems to be a little weird, I was hoping that they would share them out amongst the different occupations but seems it's all about having the highest points regardless. How many points will you be applying with? I'm a Diagnostic Radiographer with 60 points so hopefully they start to invite some 60 pointers soonish! Good luck with the ANMAC, my skills assessment with ASMRT took about 8 weeks including posting times there and back.
  3. Nice one, thanks for that stevej. It makes a bit more sense now. Guess I'll be in for a bit of a wait then! ? still fingers crossed! Cheers Gordon
  4. Hi All, Can anyone explain the SkillSelect system and invitation rounds process??? I'm a Diagnostic Radiographer and recently gained my skills assessment and have finally made it to the minimum requirement for applying to SkillSelect (60 points). I have now submitted my EOI (9/11/17) and from reading a few posts on here and checking the previous invitation rounds I'm a bit confused why there have been no invites for 60 pointers! Are there any differences for occupations or is it strictly based on points regardless? Any help or guidance greatly appreciated. Thanks Gordon
  5. Hey DukeNinja, Great news..... I received my AIR assessment (successful) and passed the Pearson English exam Have submitted my EOI and awaiting to hear back on that now. I'm trying to work my AHPRA application so that it ties in with getting the visa granted and making the move out there, I've a few questions about it all if you don't mind advising? 1. AHPRA - Im going to use Passport/Drivers License/Electronic tourist visa (651) for I.D requirements..... what did you use as I know you applied whilst in the UK therefore limiting options available? 2. AHPRA - I can't see anything regarding certifying CPD evidence. Does it have to be the complete folder like AIR application? and does it have to be certified? 3. AHPRA - Once granted how long do they allow you to arrive in person? How are getting on out there now, I'm guessing you're well settled now and reaping the rewards of all these application nightmares? Cheers Gordon
  6. OK cool, yeah I know of this service but I already splashed out on copies of all uni documents when I finished for the sole purpose of applying abroad. I've sent the application now and included the stamped copy they sent me originally........ so fingers crossed. I've already spoken with the uni in case they request a sealed copy directly and they will be ready to post. I'm checking the royal mail tracking service every hour to make sure it arrives ok Trying to get prepared for the EOI and AHPRA applications as soon as I hear back from AIR....... Guess I've just got to hold tight and wait it out now (and get myself booked in for the pearson academic test too.)
  7. Thanks DukeNinja. I'm a bit shy of the points needed so I'm going sit the pearson academic to hopefully get the 20 points for that. I've got most of my documents certified now and will be ready to post next week... finally. Did get all of the documents certified as I'm finding the AIR guidance a bit confusing. The syllabus for my uni course quite hefty and the solicitor said it will take them all afternoon to do (£££). Did you get yours certified? So reading your last post on here I'm guessing your there now, how's it all working out for you? Cheers Gordon Sent from my SM-G930F using PomsinOz mobile app
  8. Yes I've got the list of everything and am getting them all prepared and want to be ready to post straight away. I've already got some documents notorised but if the solicitor is cheaper and I can use them for the AIR then might be best to get them to do it and save the notarized copies for the AHPRA. Did you have to get the uni course syllabus certified as well... it's quite a hefty document!? I've got a copy from the uni with their stamp so hopefully that will do. So how is radiography in oz? 9. That's great thanks. So first question is for the AIR assessment which I'm going to tackle before the AHPRA and Immigration. I've already had a few documents certified by a notary but still have some to do, in one of your posts you suggested doing this with the solicitor instead, is this due to costs? Second question is the post graduate employment experience, I'm coming up to 2 years in September which is when I'll send the AIR application off, I saw somewhere on the thread you mention 3 years needed for the Skillselect application? So are you in Oz now? How are you finding it? My brother lives in Brisbane so there is a good possibility we'll end up somewhere there. Gordon
  10. Hi All, This is a great thread to follow DukeNinja! I'll be starting the whole process next month and this is just what I needed to work out what to expect along the way. Are you still active and if so do you mind if I throw a few questions your way? Thanks Gordon
  11. Thank you and fingers crossed..... I started a degree in radiography with the purpose of moving to Australia and next month I can begin the process (At last) I'm going to start with the AIR assessment and then prep and ready the AHPRA application and Skillselect application when I get the go ahead from the AIR. With the AIR assessment who did you use to certify the documents? Solicitor or Notary? Thanks Gordon
  12. Hi Debs, Thank you for putting up such a detailed post..... I'm currently gathering documents/researching the process ready to apply in September as I reach two years employment experience. Would you mind if I put some of the many questions I have to you? I will also be trying to complete the process without the use of a migration agent! So if you are still active I would much appreciate the help. Thanks Gordon
