Hi, was that with 5points state nomination included? im currently in the same boat if so. Submitted 28th February on 75 points inclusive of state nom for NSW. i was sick of waiting for the 189 ITA following submitting the EOI in November on 70 points. In hindsight I should have submitted both together. fingers crossed I may receive after the NSW invitation in a couple of weeks as my age points drop at the end of march so will lose 5 points .

Hi I am a qualified civil engineer to IEng level in the UK however the Engineers Australia skills assessment classes me as an Engineering Technologist which seemed pretty odd to me at the time. However we submitted the 189 in November 2017 on 70 points and the 190 to NSW on 75 in Feb 2018. Up to yet we've heard nothing. one question I do have is if I become chartered this year in the U.K. Would it be worth running the skills assessment again as in the hope of being classed as a Civil Engineer by EA? Would it benefit me? danny

I had the exact same scores twice, personally think IELTS is outdated. I sat the PTE academic for the 3rd test and passed with overall 90, 90 in each of the 4 sections. Was more practical and a better option if you are computer literate [emoji106]

In my honest opinion I would go for the PTE academic (Pearsons) test instead of the IELTS. i failed the IELTS marginally twice but passed the PTE first time with the highest possible mark. IELTS seems outdated with no margin for error in the test Danny
