The wait is finally over for me....... Applied Nom & Visa Oct 2016 - RCB approved straight away. Nom approved 22/06/18 - nothing requested except up to date police checks for visa as over one year old. Police checks submitted 02/07/18 and Visa approved 03/07/18!!! 21 months in total! So happy and relieved! Office Manager, QLD, 187 DE, onshore.

I believe they are doing exactly that. Certain occupations have not been touched or are getting the odd rejection/approval but hardly any! In my eyes this relates to Office Manager, Retail Manager, Chef and Cook. All other positions such as Childcare Room leader, Massage Therapist etc seem to get their answers much quicker. I am an office manager waiting since October 2016 and there has not been ONE office manager with a rejection or approval since I joined this forum probably a year ago!

HI Sahil pfs! Can I ask, what happened when immigration showed up at your office? What did they do/ask for? I just want to make sure I'm fully prepared! Thanks in advance

Funny you should say that, when my partner called a few months back, they kept asking him the same question! Just kept coming back to whether the nomination had been approved. It hasn't though, or we would have heard from our agent. But a strange thing for them to say. Why would my agent need to send an email, it's pretty clear from our application that we would like it approved!!

Same. I applied Office Manager October 2016 and I'm within the waiting time 17-20 months (nearly 19 for me!) I would imagine you will be waiting at least another few months! :-/

No, our agent suggested we get them done and ready early so they were available if anyone picked up our file. No case office that I'm aware of. Sounds like you are ahead of me in the never-ending queue.

So I have some not so great news from my agent..... DE and Nom Oct 2016, Office Manager, QLD. Here's what he said. In relation to your email, we have many people emailing us concerned about the changes in March 2018 (and rightly so). We are unsure what is going to happen at this stage or what occupations will and will not be on the RSMS list. There have been recent changes to the postcodes for Regional Areas (which is a time of decision requirement). This recently happened with pending Perth applications which was a regional area until 17 November 2017. However, the Immigration Department has provided that people with an RCB approval and who lodged prior to 17 November 2017 will not be affected by this change. Therefore, these people have been grandfathered. The reason I use this example is that I hope Immigration will do the same for people who may have their occupation removed in March 2018 and who have lodged their visa prior. However, I do not know if this can or will be done. To answer you question direct - you may be affected if Office Manger is removed and Immigration do not grandfather prior lodged applications. However, we will only know the changed once informed by Immigration or once the changes take place. Unfortunately, I cannot assist any more that this L I am hoping your application will be assessed prior to March 2017 based on our current applications being processed.

187 DE - nom & visa app Oct 2016. Heyyy! So I called immigration today on the off chance that they would have an update for me. (Not done this before as was told not to bother!) Anyway, found out that my case has been assigned to a processing team on the 19th June. Apparently the 12-14 month wait could still apply, but my hopes are up that it may be sooner now! Fingers crossed!!

Oh wow! I'm fortunate enough to already be here and on a bridging visa, was this not an option for you? Fingers crossed for you! It would be so frustrating to have to do (and pay for!!) the medicals and police checks again!

De-facto included in application and applied through an agent who tells me there is no way of having any clue when it could be.[emoji26] Good luck all!!
