  1. An even more confusing update here... The new short-term list and mid-term list, which known as F2017L00450 is now no longer in force according DIBP website, what is this suppose to mean??
  2. I saw this as well, really hope this "Existing 457 visa holders and applicants as at 18 April 2017 will continue to have access to existing employer sponsored pathways to permanent residence. Further details will be published on the Department's website in due course." is the whole truth, not just the grace period... But anyway, those whose TRT point is after Mach 2018 (like myself) should probably start to make a plan B....
  3. That's my biggest concern... Mine is Nov. 2018. The new visa system should be fully effected by then, not sure how far they willing to go with this grandfathering thing. Currently it seems the department hasn't say anything specific regarding to our situation. IMMI lawyer suggested I should wait... but I might call DIBP tomorrow to find out more.
  4. Would you mind me asking when is your two years TRT point, is it before Mar. 2018? As I recall, the FACT SHEET TWO did mention something about the changes after Mar. 2018 such as "permanent residence eligibility will be extended from two to three years." It really looks like that this could affect TRT steam applicants after Mar. 2018.....
  5. My occupation is on the combine list now, not the medium list. And the worst of all, my two year point is Nov. 2018. Do you have any idea whether I'll be affected by the new rules? Thanks~
  6. Does a grandfather agreement means that current 457 visa holders can still apply for permanent residency after two years of working?
  7. Hi everyone, Just want to share GOOOOOD news. Got the email from DIBP with my visa this morning! (9:30 was a bit too early for this kind of news) application lodged on 16 Jan 2017 visa granted on 5 Apr 2017 high risk. onshore. Hope this could be a useful timeline for other subsequent entrant applicants. Btw, no CO signed from beginning to end. GOOK LUCK!!
  8. Hi Guys, I lodged my application as subsequent entrant on 16 Jan 2017. My de facto partner is already holding the 457 so I did the application all by myself. I thought it would be quick but it's been almost 3 months and the status is still "Received". Anyone has any idea how long a subsequent entrant usually take to process? I'm pretty sure I've upload all the required documents, start to get worried.....
