hello everyone, i have filled for 189 in June and was contacted by C.O. today by phone( may be because m in Australia). He asked me that i have claimed for 3 years experience but the company letter states that i have worked on contractual basis. My company letter states that i was working with them from Sept 2013 and have sailed last on company vessel from Sept 2016 to Jan 2017 on contractual basis and is currently on leave. I tried to explain to him we cant work continuously and we have to take leave. That our work requires 24 hours job. Then he said u should show at least 20 hours work per week. Than i told him that AMSA considers all this and have given me more than 3 years experience. Than he said okay highlight this and send this to me. In official request he asked Evidence of 3 years employment of at least 20 hours per week. I have a total experience of 13 months over 3.5 years. can anybody on how should i respond to this request properly, i'm afraid that if not explained properly this could lead to rejection. Hello everyone, A very sad news about removal of our profession from skilled occupation list baffled us yesterday. Felt sorry for all of us who are affected by this. My query is about above quoted reference. Can anyone shed some more light on this one as I might need to use this one because I took a leave of 1.5 yrs from work due to Exams and Illness while i was still employed by the company but was not paid for the period. And i have used this time for Experience and same have been included in company letter. Thanks

hello everyone,I'm in the process of uploading documents for 189 visa and i have a doubt. I have a total sailing experience of 13 months including junior time and i have started sailing in September 2013 and my last sign-off was in Jan 2017. AMSA has given me a experience of at least five years and my company has given me employment letter for service since Sep 2013 till now on contractual basis. Which counts to approximately 3.5 yrs. My doubt is in these 3.5 years i had a break for exams of 1.5 yrs. Will the case officer count my experience for 3 years or not. What more can i provide in case he raises a doubt for that period. Thanks

i applied for 1 year multiple entry type visitor visa from India, for that they require medicals. So can i do this medical also from the same hap i.d or should i create a new one, as I am using the same immi account. Thanks

hello everyone, I have a query about bridging visa we get after applying for skilled visa, is that visa is multiple entry or single. Do we have to be in Australia while applying to get bridging visa. What if we get bridging visa and we want to go out, will it still be valid when we come back in case it takes time for pr to process. Thanks

NO, i think they only accept medicals done here through sonic health plus. This you can book online through Sonic health Plus site after you have booked your oral, no point in doing before.

hello sir, I cleared my oral exam and awaiting assessment letter. I too have the same doubt about the work experience. how the Immigration department will count the work experience. I have sailed for 6 months as junior and 7 months as 4th engineer. But i have been with company since Sept 2013. so will it be counted as 13 months or 3+ years. If you got the answer for your query then please clarify my doubt. thanks Sandy dhull

Hello captain R, Can you please clear two possibilities, 1 If we submit EOI before 1st July and didn't get invitaion before 1st July and occupation gets removed from Sol. 2 If we submit before 1st July and get the invitation, what will be the chances of grant of visa. thanks in advance.
