  1. OK thanks - we've only put in the nomination (last week) but were expecting to put in the main application in the next day or so. So the bridging Visa will run until the same date. I don't know much about it but thought the bridging visas were quite short term (e.g. wouldn't run until June 2019).

Don't worry mate and welcome in the PR race[emoji5]
Your bridging visa will run while waiting for your visa approval. This visa is valid during the whole waiting period.
Don't worry for that you have the rights you can freely travel etc...
    :)
And You'll definitely get your visa before June 2019! [emoji5]
  2. Is that for all 457 visa holders? Or just those whose 457s expire? Our 457 runs out in June 2019 and I'm hoping we're not already onto bridging Visas before we've heard anything about PR.

No.. my 457 is active and I got a bridging visa the day I applied. Of course this bridging visa offers the same right than my 457 because it's still active [emoji5]
Check your immigration account. You should one letter.

Thanks @Ozdream1, hugely helpful :|. Very aware I could get stuck in the mixer like so many other unfortunate people. I check the forum, look at the sheet and stare at my inbox on a daily basis, so I'm massively happy for anyone who no longer has to undergo that routine on a daily basis.

I'm also very happy for the others... Otherwise, I would not look at this forum 20 times a day... :)

  4. Hi applied 186 de as hairdresser in oct 16 still received my 457 nearly expire any suggestions can I extend 457 or come to bridging a my m agent asking me to extend it cost me $3000

It's even bizarre that your MA request more money? [emoji848][emoji848]
Your 457 visa is automatically transferred to a bridging visa once you apply for PR. (For DE onshore and TRT.)
So even if your 457 expires your bridging visa is still active..
It's just different if you plan to travel overseas I guess.
  5. 13 months completed without any update on my file.[emoji45]
Brisbane and Adelaide teams are processing hundreds of subclass 189 and 190 PR visa applications within a week but don’t know what’s wrong with NSW and Victoria teams which process 186 and 187 applications.

    Thanks guys.

    Occupation is Industrial Designer.

I believe that the refusal was due to my employer changing the ABN I was employed under mid-way through my application. The frustrating part is that I noticed the change in my payslip, and asked my HR guy if this would be an issue....he said no, not at all.

I know, it seems incredible, but they only offer refunds in exceptional circumstances.....easiest $7,000 that the DIBP has ever made. My employer has offered to re-lodge, but I dont think we want to go through it again and potentially wait another 8-13 months...

Thanks for the support though guys, really hope you all get that golden email soon, and not the lead one I got!

I'm so sorry for you mate. Did you have a MA?

I'm kinda in the same situation than you but I think we still have the same ABN... :S

  7. The way some applicants are waiting from 15 months it won't be wrong to say that the processing time for 186 visa is 1 year to 2 year[emoji34][emoji34][emoji35][emoji35][emoji35]

Yes... and it might get worse because there'll be more and more applications till march 2018.
So I guess the processing time can even be longer than what they have released...
However.. I have the feeling that most of applicants who wait over 15 months are from offshore????
Of course not all.. but most of them...

Hi guys . Does anyone know which month immi working in these days. As I am only waiting for 5 month for visa only . Thanks

They're apparently reviewing applications between April 2016 and June 2017.

However, I haven't seen anyone who got it after April 2017...??

Personally, it's been 8 months and half... :(

I request u to do it in case they ask to save ur time. Good luck...

My MA doesn't want to upload the form 80... :( I'm from LR and applied under the DE stream...

They told me this is usually requested further by the Department if they deem it necessary for certain applicants...

  10. My employer called immi 4 times but of no use.
My MA sent an email to immi last week explaining the urgency of my position and also attached the project schedule document to it.
He received the reply today as below:
“We have considered your priority request based on the information you have provided. Your request for priority processing has been declined. The ENS/RSMS business area processes visa applications in order of date of lodgment.

I am sure you can appreciate, most applications come with their own unique set of circumstances and are often lodged with claims of urgency. Please trust that we are also eager to progress your application as quickly as possible”.

So with this I came to a conclusion that it is totally waste of time emailing them or contacting them. They just do what they like and don’t bother about anyone.
We are reaching 13 months now. Hoping to hear some good news soon.

Don't worry.. I'm sure you'll get it soon! Your occupation is on the good list so I guess you'll get it in the coming weeks..

However... how do they dare to say they're reviewing in order of lodgement date...
Although they're reviewing apps between April 2016 and June 2017...[emoji856]

  11. Lots of people wait more than 8 or 13 months... for no obvious reason, unfortunately.

    Yes unfortunately [emoji52]
And it seems so unfair to see such variables processing times between the different streams or within the same occupation...
    Makes no sense at all..
And yes I think it's sometimes unfair... even if I'm always happy to see people get their visa granted here..[emoji5]

  12. Hi All,

I applied for my PR under ENS 186 in the month of May'17 and its been 3 months I haven't heard anything from immi dept. Also I have created a immi account, it doesnt show any tracking of my application. When do I get a notification? How long is the general processing time?

Since i applied in May'17, I was not required to do ILTES, I had to prove I have studied in a English medium institute for 5 consecutive years. From July'17 its a must all ENS 186 applicant should complete the ILTES and score average 6 in all the parameters. Do I have to complete the ILTES as they haven't pick up my application yet?

    Thanks

    JDSS

Here's the average processing time... this is an average... so people can wait longer or when some people are lucky and get an outcome kinda quickly.. Just have a look at the spreadsheet and you would have a better idea..[emoji5]

All the best!! And welcome in the waiting game [emoji123][emoji5]

    What's happening with immi?
Only a week short of completing an year now but no response yet. I think I am the only person waiting this long for 186 being a Software Engineer.

Don't worry Praveen, you have no reason to worry! I'm sure you're gonna get it very soon! :)

  14. Looks like they have extended Visa processing times. Last updated 14th June by IMMI.  The one that's been extended considerably is the 90% of allocations.  For DE last month it was 10 months.  Now it is 13 months!!!  Basically they bought themselves further time as the majority of applications will fall into this extended void!. This will mean for a lot of people like me that i will possibly need to obtain new police checks and possibly health examinations.

    Processing time

    Processing time
Stream                                                        75 per cent of applications processed    90 per cent of applications processed
Temporary Residence Transition stream                          8 months                                           9 months
Direct Entry stream                                                           9 months                                           13 months
Agreement stream                                                            9 months                                           13 months

Last updated 14 June 2017 (for month ending 31 May 2017)

This is not fair for the DE applicants who applied onshore.
Some people applied under the transition stream just because they got a negative assessment but their applications are prioritised...[emoji5]
Ok... this process is driving me nuts....
