No news but i am waiting on IQ2015 to give some good news soon! Ps when I was applying everyone told me to use a visa lodgement service called Gerry's or something, i ended up speaking with some people who had applied online and decided to do it ourselves through the immi website, has anyone else heard this service in Pakistan and I wonder if they get priority?

Welcome IQ2015, Happy new year to everyone, must admit this year was a hard one first year married and apart for it all but I guess that is the game. Below is a updated list of current members awaiting grants. If there are any people reading whom have not posted, please make an account and post (especially visa grants). Last year AHC was doing grants in about 8-9 months but not sure what is happening now with most people waiting more. Visa grants are historically done on Thursdays and Fridays so hopefully some good news for some this week (have been wishing that for a while now!). As always please update if any grants or news! There is 1 or 2 applicants waiting from 23rd Feb I think who still have not been granted visa's, but not sure the forum has been quiet lately.

I did get through last week, they don't give any information regarding how long it will take or why its being delayed just standard answer that the case is ready to be assessed if they need anything they will contact and their standard time is 9-12months. Its unfortunate they don't share much information, all I can think is they have a backlog of things to do and we are all just simply in a que. I did speak with Aus Immigration in Sydney and was told they cant even look up the case and its all managed in Islamabad.

Some good news Tasleem, at least we know they are giving grants, do you happen to know your friends lodgement and interview date?

FYI they close on the 23rd of Dec and re-open on the 3rd of Jan, not sure if they process any cases in that time but im guessing not.

Tried calling a few times today (I know i would have gotten the same answer but could not help my self) did not get through once, and the last stage it would just say the there is a high volume of calls and to call back later.

JK I also read in this forum that after interview on one of the users sponsor didnt change to approved and they rang and was told it does not matter, mine however says approved next to the sponsor right after the phone interview, have you tried calling them about this?

Really disappointed to be honest, i know the standard time is 9-12 months but when they have approved most applications around the 8.5 mark and some grants given in less than 5 months it gets to you knowing you spent a considerable amount of money and effort into putting an application ready for them to asses and for some unknown reason its taking longer, sorry guys i guess just need to vent. Have tried calling them in the last week but got the standard answer. Btw Im in Sydney and wife is in Pakistan.

also no news, also waiting, hoping at least someone gets a grant atleast know they are doing something!

Not sure if there is anything we can do except for "wait patiently". They seem to be doing grants around the 8.5 month mark with interview dates all over the place, only thing that stands out is the 8-9month wait with grants on Thursdays and Friday's, but god knows I have given up trying to figure out an estimate...
