  1. Nah nothing at all they said all good nothing else required. How about you did they ask for more?
  2. You have been waiting a year after your interview?? that is honestly ridiculous, have you tried the complaint link? I dont know what to say I just cant believe they did this to you guys, its been so hard for us and we are coming up to the 11th month I cant imagine what its been like for you.
  3. However in saying that i dont believe now that cases are dealt in order of DOL, simply put its shut up and wait your turn which to be honest is quite unfair but it is what it is.
  4. I would probably wait til the 12 month mark but unfortunately i don't think there is anything we can do but wait and thats even if they go over the 12 month mark.
  5. Hi Guys i got a reply from the complaint lodged. Pretty much a long email stating that my case is still in their time frame in under 12 months. They aim to complete 75% with in 12 months and there is no guarantee regarding that. All in all there is nothing i can do but wait and keep checking my email and immi account. Seemed like a pretty generic copy and paste reply. My opinion probably waste of time lodging a complaint.
  6. Not yet mate, still waiting for just an acknowledgment that they received the complaint..did you call them/get through to them?
  7. Thanks Ali001, will be doing that now, your very lucky I must say there are people waiting close to a month before your DOL.
  8. Make the call mate, with email you will have to wait til they reply (up to 7 days), first I called and they said it's in que for final decision, called a few weeks after and was told they are waiting for some checks to come back, I've Kinda given up speaking with them lol.
  9. Mate I have tried a few times (mostly out of frustration when you see people in the past with grants in less than 9 months). I'd say give them a call or email, I have heard a few people say oh don't call or email them they are busy etc etc, and I agree with that for someone who has been waiting for under 6 months but for people like us who are waiting longer than their average time I think it's only sane for us to know where abouts our application is up too. Just don't be disappointed if they give the same standard response mate and if you happen to find something new please share! Agree this forum has been a massive help, hopefully few months we will be sitting with our partners and thinking about how much we stressed about it all lol.
  10. Hi IQ2015, i feel your pain and even though im about a month behind you ive tried that and all they say that their processing time is 12 months. I would email anyway as i will be doing that as well at the 11th month mark.
  11. Yeah that's true, I guess we will never know how it's all done hoping for the best today Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. IQ2015 What documents did they ask for? From what I've read the approved status for sponsor only means that they have checked and approved the sponsor to be able to sponsor. Have read also that someone was in a similar situation and they rang and where advised it doesn't matter if it hasn't changed yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. DOL 18th March and DOI 6th Oct, Departmental checks are either background checks involving police checks and verification of documents provided...I think...who knows though, I was always under the impression female applicants had less checks done than male applicants.
  14. Thanks Tasleem, This department was more helpful than the other Australian office I called, managed to get through after about 15 to 20 min on hold, basically they told me that they can only see limited information but looked up with my file number, she could only see that it is still in assessment and no other information, she could not do anything else, well thats what she told me. She also told me that Pakistan takes 8-10months and if it is being delayed its because 1. I was requested for more information (which I was not) 2. That the only other reason is the external checks they do are delayed and hence why my case would be delayed. She also advised the senior case office makes the decision in Islamabad and not Australia. She then said "oh why dont you try calling them or emailing them"... The wait continues.. Hopefully some good news soon!
  15. Hey I didnt know they sent finalised apps to Australia either, I did ring immigration here in Sydney as was told it is all handled in Pakistan, but who knows, if any one knows please share, seriously getting over this wait!
  16. I was thinking the same thing, for some reason our PCC was only valid for 6 months (Karachi issued), I did ring them and was advised not to do it unless it is requested again which it was not, wont be surprised before grant they ask for it again but we have not renewed it yet.
  17. Welcome Misbah, That is some good information. Agree on the time frame for two visa streams, I have a friend who migrated on skilled basis and he had his visa grants for himself, wife and two kids processed in under 6 months, where as most partner visa grants take 9 - 12 months, all I can think about is that security checks don't actually take that long but I have read on some forums that it can take anywhere from 4-6 months for those checks and if you are a male it could take longer, also on the skilled migration they only asses your skill to ensure you have the required skills where as in our case they are actually going through a lot of paperwork and determining wether the marriage is legitimate or not. I guess we will never really know what type and the length of checks they go to. Also I think (and please no body get offended) but things in Pakistan don't always work on time, I don't see this being any different at the AHC. Canberra sets the expected time frame of 12 months, even if everything is completed they still have up to 12 months. I rang through twice and was told both times that my application is "decision ready" and awaiting the senior case officer to asses it. However if applications are getting sent to Australia then it could take longer but this is all uncertain, I do know that AHC's in India have a quick stream process with Australia meaning they share information quicker and therefor their grants including visit visa's are much quicker compared to Pakistan. I definitely agree with you to stay patient and not to worry however it is hard as you would have seen our posts here in the past, they say expectation is the root of all heartache however every single person here (including myself) waits for the Thursday/Friday days thinking....just hoping that grant comes through. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do but wait. I must say though this forum has helped a lot, I will continue to keep sharing any information. Only 4 more days til Thursday..
  18. Hi Khan DOL is 18th March DOI 6th Oct, only wife got interviewed and no request for additional documents.
