  1. I know TAX has to be paid but what i am saying is that if someone is in debt to ATO and they are at least making an effort to repay because they want to stay or live permanently in the country also shows a lot about the person character! It's a completely different story if someone has purposely not paid Tax applying for PR and thinking they will get away with not having to pay the ATO debt.
  2. If you are onshore though how would they expect you to get the funds if they refuse your PR? surely if PR is granted then that would show that you will pay back the funds as you have PR and steady work with the nominated employer. If genuine effort is made to clear the debt before the PR then i can't see why they would refuse.
  3. have you made any attempts to pay or have a payment plan set up with the ATO? that might help if you show you've attempted to make repayments
  4. Hi Khem Dev786 has said they have moved to applications lodged early December
  5. I am hoping the same Emon Alam. Mine wasn't lodged until 12 August so I'm thinking we've less public holidays now until the end of the year compared to Dec to August so hoping that will help the processing as well  can only hope!
  6. Hopefully a lot of news this week for 187 applications :cute:
  7. Hi Jstha, I didn't quite understand that either but our MA told us to select the "have not"
  8. Any update today yet about what month they are processing? The above is dated 15 August :cute:
  9. is it normal for VEVO to say error when you try and check current visa details once the 187 has been lodged? I'm trying to check out 457 visa but it states error incorrect details, so i tried the bridging visa details that our MA sent us (which wont start until October when our 457 expires) still getting error. Any ideas why this maybe happening?
  10. thank you. If 2 are going would it be $280 or is it $140 per application so my defacto then goes under it as well? were they strict with a reason to leave? We just need to book flights soon but want to make sure we will be allowed to travel but cant really apply until October / November for the bridging visa B. Also when you return do you automatically so back onto the Bridging visa A? sorry for all the questions.
  11. Hey, has anyone applied for a bridging visa B? Our 457 expires in October so the bridging visa a will start then but we are hoping to go home for Christmas so just wondering what the process would be and if anyone on here has done it. Do you need a serious reason to leave the country and does anyone know how long you can be out of the country for as we are hoping to spend at least 4 maybe 5 weeks at home over the Christmas period.
