Hi, wondering do anyone got call from immi officer about your partner while waiting for 187 visa? Just received a call from them and ask about how do we meet each other and why doesn’t he find a job, etc.

That is a really weird question, he can ask where do you guys meet each other but he can be self-employed. So what happened if he doesn't have a job? Lol

But in my opinion if you have nomination approved 90% you will get the visa.

  2. I wrote a really long complaint about how delay it is, they have 160k applications 186 and 187 combined that means 560 millions out there maybe that's not enough. Imagine the 50% refusal rate and how much will they earn from that huge sum of money.

This government hates immigrants. But didn't say it out loud.

thanks , just saying bcz restaurant Manager , retail manager , team leaders r most common visa and immi r aware of it i was watching clip on FB acc to seminar which held in Brisbane they were talking about high risk visa categories ...otherwise i'm waiting from last 16 months and hope as u said it will come + :)

If you are here from the start, you will see a lot of retail managers are being refused for the same reasons. But I haven't seen any restaurant managers are refused for a shit or ridiculous reason yet.

I'm waiting for 7 months as a cafe manager as well. Be positive.

I applied restaurant Manager in Victoria oct 2016 all the docs submitted no new from anywhere, and i don't think if anyone get their visa as a Restaurant Manager yet... Even here no one posted anything related .....I been told there is one migration agent in melbourne posted a video on FB regarding how they refusing visa for Restaurant Manager...bcz they're not considering them serious ... just hope left now a days..

Be positive :) I know 2 chefs and 1 restaurant manager got approved when nomination and visa in 2017. You don't see it here doesn't mean no restaurant manager got approved fast.

    Hi,

I think the date is not quite right? Is it 2017 or 2018 you applied for nomination and visa granted?

    Hi All !

I apply for nomination and Visa on 12 of nov 2017 and I already get nomination refused just on Tuesday 6th February just 3 months after applying.

got to lodge an appeal before 22 of February.

QLD, retail Manager, 30 staff 90%australian.

Have u guys have heard someone win an appeal?

That is so fast, Can you state the reason for refusal please?

My Ma confirmed that AAT will accept my appeal .... But I am not very convinced about this current situation ...it is not so easy to leave the country within 28 day ..when I have been living here for 8 years with my family...it is very hard..so please let me know your opinion...I will have to act accordingly

You have to pay not a small amount to appeal to the AAT, and if your nomination is refused i don't think the visa refusal can be accepted, they can deny it as quick as 7 days because the nomination is not in line. To me it's such a waste of time and money, i suggest you to consult with a migration agent

    Hey everybody,

I have been reading this thread for a long time now and thought I could add my own stone to that big wall of waiting.

I've applied for a 187 as restaurant manager on the 5th of August 2016, my nomination was approved almost instantly but my visa has not been processed since then. I reached the 18 months of waiting time some days ago and it feels really desperate at times.

I lodged my application in WA, I have been working at that place since July 2016, and have been hoping for an answer from the immigration since March 2017.

It helps somehow to know I am not the only one in this situation, but it also frustates me to have been in that position for so long now.

So good luck to everybody here, waiting as well.

If I had to think of one lesson taught through that process, that would be to stay patient for what you are longing for.

    Hi,

Congratulations for the nomination approved, can you pls give your timeline? Thks

  9. I think it's ok for you to send the transcript and your certificate. The rule is there.

Hi my husband and me applied for rsms and co requested documents today. I have 4 years degree( English medium ) and my husband is main applicant. Immigration website has been mentioned that if someone (not main applicant) has 4 yr degree in English medium no need to do Ielts. Therefore we didn’t do it. Is it ok if I send my degree certificate and my transcript?

I'm just wondering if it's possible that case officer can ask me to do health check before nomination is approved.

My nomination is not approved yet, but case officer asked me to do health check.

I'm very confused and worried about refusal of my visa because my sponsor has financial problem these days(low income).

Please let me know if there is any same situation like me.

    Thanks!

I think you will likely get nomination and visa at the same time, most of my friends got visa and nomination approved after they did the health check :) Don't worry. The faster you do, less riskier it can be. Congrats.

    What's your occupation and timeline?

Guys! i have seen most of the restaurant Manager refusal here. i will give you one advice if all of you want to take. grab 50 person who rejected in this case and hire a good lawyer. each person needs to spend $1000. why i am telling this because one of my friend he submitted 489 visa in cook couple of years ago they stopped to open the file and no movement . they did same thing and lawyer gave a notice to all department which is related to that. it cost $50000. i think it is worth it to go better than AAT and Home. let me know if you need lawyer information. just do it guys believe me. one day guys you are Thanking for this advice...Lol....

Grab from Whats app group who made it. Do not wait for AAT Decision or submit to AAT.

    Regards,

    Sam

It’s actually retail manager, not restaurant manager, they’re totally different

Hi guys my 187 visa lodge on 29 june nomination n visa together but my rcb still not lodged yet because of some documents waiting. Is this affect my nomination n visa file. If the file will open but rcb was not lodged. So can we lodge our rcb after documents request from the co. Guys your help will give me some other options.

    Thanks emoji3.png

Without RCB, your visa is definitely refused. It's one of the most important step. With this stressful situation with a lot of refused retail managers now, i believe they have the right to refuse a visa without requesting any documents

    Hi,

Any cafe and restaurant managers got nomination approved?

My nomi and visa applied Aug 2016, location: WA. Still no CO allocated.

I am a cafe manager just applied last Aug 2017.

My friend is a restaurant manager, nomination and visa 21 Jan 2017, Approved both 17 May 2017. Only 4 months

I don't know how they process each documents, as restaurant manager is considered high risk.

Does your country of origin have reciprocal agreement?

No, I'm from a HR country. I know what is reciprocal health insurance mean. It's totally different and don't cover enough compared to Medicare for citizens.

"You must have adequate health insurance unless you are covered by Medicare"

You are covered by Medicare immediately after applying for 187 visa. If you don't apply for Medicare it's your loss. Remind to you that Medicare is insurance as well and you have to pay for it in your tax return. You can call and ask immigration directly about this. I've asked them and my agent as well before I answer this.

I don't have private health insurance anymore, only Medicare and my 485 still works. It's more than 1.5 years. You don't need to wait until Bridging visa A kicks in. I still have more than 5 months until my 485 expired.

    Read the second line.

    Hi guy's.

I am on 485 visa and applied for 187, my MA said that I am eligible to apply for medicare simultaneously I need to continue the private health insurance policy which is must for 485 visa. Is it true?

Can anyone suggest me regarding this issue.

    Thanks

    Kumar

No, i'm on 485 to 187 as well, i'm still on 485 and they give me Medicare immediately (give them passport and bridging visa A). I don't need private health insurance anymore as 485 rule stated that maintain health insurance, medicare is one. I believe that it's enough to pay for medicare fee when you claim your tax return, it will be too expensive for you to pay for private health insurance as well.
