  1. no documents requested thankgod!! :-) feels slightly unreal at the min!! Can't believe it! Such a weight lifted that's for sure! :-)
  2. occupation = cook plus defacto partner. Nomination lodged sept '15 visa lodged 03/11/15. Both approved today. Location Whitsundays airlie beach qld. :-)
  3. I thought we had nomination approval ages ago but apparently nomination was approved at 9.50am this morning and then visa was shortly after. :-) so both same day.
  4. My 187 visa finally got approved today!!! So frickin excited!! Visa granted 23/06/2016, visa applied for 03/11/2015! I wish everyone else all the best of luck :-)
  5. good morning!! You should definitely be able to apply for any of those managers positions under 187 and as you have the qualification for it too it should be a breeze. However the company will get looked into a lot as they have been opened less than a year. Business plans, financial documents etc. Immi will want to see that the company won't go bust or anything like that and that there is a genuine need to hire you. As far as offshore and onshore goes I'm really unsure. I don't think there are any differences as such but I do know if you apply offshore you can't enter Australia until the decision has been made, and once the decision has been made then you have to start your job within a certain timeframe. At the moment we are looking at an 8 month waiting time for decisions. Iv waited 7 1/2 months so far. I hope this info helps, and maybe someone else has some more useful info on the onshore/offshore part. :-)
  6. Yeh my partner has 10 years experience but it's all offshore (in England) we got told that the new law that came in means all offshore experience no longer counts?? Confusing. Lol.
  7. Pretty interesting read actually, so to know that we are on a sponsored visa and a partner defacto visa this is a bad thing for us! Talking of making things harder did anyone else hear that for a cook, level 3, all offshore experience no longer counts as sufficient experience. They bought in the new law about 2 months ago that if ur going for level 3 cook you have to have 2 years experience onshore!!?? Unless you have level 4, then your ok. This is also very worrying! But surely they can't change the rules 5 months into your visa being submitted, so once again thinking positively! Well trying to anyway. :-)
  8. RCB approved 25th September 2015. Visa lodged 3rd November 2015. Was told 3 weeks ago that we would be likely to hear back anyday, but then everything just seemed to stop with immi. No idea what they are doing, all this progress and then when it comes to Nov applicants they've just ground to a halt. So frustrating. Gonna stay positive though and have the biggest party ever when all this is over with. :-) good luck to you too!!
  9. 7 1/2 months and still waiting. Visa lodged 3rd Nov as cook plus defacto partner. We try to forget about it all and just carry on with our everyday lives, but it's so hard, as it's always on our minds! Got our fingers crossed for next week, but we will see.
  10. Hey, I live in airlie beach. It's truly a beautiful place! There's only one boat trip which can take u to the outter reef and that's with cruise Whitsundays. But there are also lots of other boat trips you can do plus overnight sailings too. A great day trip here is with ocean rafting. It's a small fast boat which will take you to Whitehaven beach (this is a must do!!!) and they also stop at a couple of snorkelling spots. They are my favourite boat for sure! Daydream island is good but mostly aimed at families so lots of kids there normally. Hamilton island is a nice one too, pretty expensive but a lovely day trip. There's jet skiing here too which is awesome fun! If u need any more info just let me know! :-)
  11. Not sure where the processing centre is, but we are in the Whitsundays Queensland. :-)
