I have just submitted mine!

I have not yet submitted my documents for my 100 as we are still in Vietnam, where we have been volunteering. 
 

They have requested a police check from all countries I have lived in for 12 months - and here its tricky. We arrived on October 10th last year, and leave tomorrow for Thailand.........its a grey area if it counts as 12 months? we have left and returned so cumulatively its not 365 days.

Also, as we leave for Thailand, and we only have 28 days to produce all documents, its highly unlikely I can get the police check as it takes around 21 days, and I need to go in and sign documents to start the process.

Am I stressing over nothing? Can anyone give me any guidance please, as I don't want to contact them if I don't have to....

I have done the address update and begun the 100 application but our documents are in Australia  hopefully the brother in law is coming over and can bring them here.....

I thought with the 100 you cannot leave Australia for longer than 2 years at a time?

Any advice appreciated as I cannot find the information online.

I have activated my 309 visa in April 2017, and we spent 6 months in Oz. Opportunity came up to move to Vietnam for work for a year, and just had offer to stay on. 

- How long is my 309 visa valid for? Does it matter if I am outside of Australia?

- Does it make sense to hold off on applying for 100, as the 100 has more restrictions on leaving the country?

On my visa details, it says that the 309 is valid for 30 years, but are there restrictions on where you need to reside?

My 309 has just arrived yay! Relieved as we are travelling between now and moving next April!

Lucky you, going travelling while you wait, that will kill the time beautifully! Where are you off to?

Have you notified them via email and ensured you have given them an email address you will check on a regular basis?

yes we have done all of it

Just had to call them to let them know that we are going travelling for the next 8 months. Hoped it would prompt the visa to arrive but no luck haha.....I'm so impatient!

We applied in March and my 309/100 was granted in 16 weeks! Once I was assigned a CO they asked immediately for medical and police checks. It was granted 2 weeks after. Your visa has to be activated within 12 months of the police check.

Think things have slowed down. Same happened to me but I'm still waiting for the visa....

It's very hard being patient haha

I hope so too Haven't been waiting long at all, but with selling the house etc, its all becoming very stressful!!

it means your sponsor is valid and accepted to be able to offer you sponsorship.

in June 2015. I was told I had visa end of June 2016 but had to wait for new financial year as they had used up 2015 allocation

Sorry, that was my bad wording - just their passports.

The only things we certified were out witness statements passports, I think?

We have WP as our case officer. Totally stunned as haven't seen anyone get it that quickly - having a cocktail to celebrate as we're on holiday in Portugal - good timing! Hopefully this means a few others will get a quick turnaround too.

Wahoo, congrats!! I check Immi account every day but we are still a few months behind everyone, as we only submitted 12/04 or thereabouts....so impatient though!

Congrats! One step closer…. did they call you?

We are moving to Melbourne initially as this is where my partner is from, so we have somewhere to stay, people we know etc etc. Ideally I would like to head towards QLD as we were there over Easter and I absolutely love it. Melbourners seem to be very anti-QLD though, saying they're all too conservative? I had a great time though especially in and around fortitude valley….

I hope that all goes well for you! I wish we had a time scale that short! Our house won't go on the market till the end of this year as we have to wait for me to finish my degree in December, then I have to work here 3 months full time before applying for my Aussie registration. So based on that and kids doing GCSE's our earliest fly out date would be 1st July next year! It seems an eternity away and I just want to be back in Oz now! After years of refusing to return due to my past relationship, one trip in December 2014 changed my mind and all I've wanted to do since is go back! Hoping 3 years in planning will be all worth it x

Thanks! We had been planning it for a while too but OH said we couldn't decide until I had been there….I guess we are lucky that we only have to think of each other, and living in London where property is flying off the market its all been a breeze…..fingers crossed!

We are very fresh into this in comparison to all you guys.....its been a month, but everything is uploaded and we are just waiting!

Have quit my job for summer (teacher), our flat is now under offer and we have booked our travels from september to april 1st. Really hoping it gets approved before then, otherwise I will be coming back to stay with my parents for a while, haha. Am hoping nothing more needs sending, we did cover all bases!

We are just waiting for our family/friends to complete their statements and get them notarised - seems like the biggest hassle out of everything!!!!
