  1. As they are both under 2211 (221111 for accountant General and 221112 for management accountant) are they not closely related either way?

Hi all, As a part of our overall strategy (and whilst waiting for my migration assessment) I wanted to check if anyone has any experience on Maternity leave in relation to Vetassess skills assessments? My wife worked for the same company for 9 years, finishing in January 2015. However, prior to that she had two periods of maternity leave. Under UK definitions this would be seen as continuous employment until January 2015, but how should we approach this if we require a skills assessment for her? The problem is that when her maternity leave (including extended leave after she finished work) is considered she has spent less than 3 out of the last 5 years in her profession. Any views would be appreciated, I am preparing to warn her she may need go back to work for a bit ;-) Ferrets
  3. Looking at the 190 requirements for some of the states for the 2211 codes it seems that there is also a pre-requisite for an employment offer. Suggest you double check that you aren't headed down a blind alley with this application if it won't get picked up by any of the states.
  4. Hi there, hopefully putting my EOI in this week with my migration assessment coming back from CPA. I didn't think that there were any state sponsorships left for 2211 Accountants - which state did you go for? Ferrets
  5. Hi all, As a part of my migration assessment I have received an electronic copy of the testimonial from my line manager but not an original / certified copy. My line manager is the other side of the world for me, and I have pushed my luck to get the support I have, and requests for the original hardcopy are not getting a response at this point, which leaves me a bit stuck with everything else ready for assessment. I will see her in person in a month's time, so should be able to get original at that point, but I wondered if it's possible to use the electronic version I already have and make a statutory declaration? I'd be able to provide a summary of pay slips, etc. that would back this up. An views on this would be appreciated. Ferrets

For what it's worth I would certainly advocate having an initial consultation (and paying for it) as a minimum - for us I have done most of the work myself but a consultation provided some focus and direction on my preparation and then also a potential strategy based on our individual circumstances and aspirations that may have altered the whole strategy had we undertaken that at the outset. I think that initial consultation would then flag to yourself whether you require the full services or are in a position to go it alone!
