    My wife applied for offshore partner visa back in April 2015, interview was done on 5th June 2015, no update since then. We checked with AHC about status of visa last week, but a standard reply " actively working on it and trying to process it in service standard" My wife and myself feeling very sad being separated for a year.. it is very difficult. Please share your thoughts if you are going through same difficult situation

    My wife got interview call 9 months ago so you never know

    As far as i know, Nikkah does not qualify her for this visa. Better to spend some time with your wife after performing rukhsati and then applying for this visa. Rejection is highly possible without rukhsati, Forums are full of such stories. You can consult some good registered migration agent as well Good luck

    I did not mean to wait for lodging application, rather i mean, i should have waited bit more before deciding to to visit Pakistan.

    Keep your patience mate, you will eventually get it. If we made some mistakes in application or had some rough situation in past, they have to assess according to it. But please keep your patience and hope for best

    That seems very strange that you are waiting for 13 months. There need to be reason for this delay. Why they interviewed second time

    My wife applied for spouse visa on 22th April 2015, Interview was done in May, Additional documents provided in June 2015 and embassy informed that it is ready for final decision back in Sep 2015. Since then, no update. On enquiry, they refused visitor visa after long wait of 5 months. This is my second marriage, Does this matter for grant? Also, my wife has previous visa refusal from a different country, should this matter? I have waited for 8 months, really missing my wife and planning to visit back to pakistan for a month. This visit will cost me around 15K in terms of lost salary, double expenses etc . Sometimes, i think i should have waited another 2-3 months so that they can make decision. But again, i have seen people waiting for more than 12 moths.

    Thanks Shahzad, much appreciated! Just wondering if this delay in final decision indicates a complex case. I should admit, although our case is genuine but bit complex due to my second marriage. Do you think shahzad your case had some complexity too. e.g bad interview with case officer, less call records or no bank account, or some overstay visa / phone marriage etc

    Thanks Shahzad Did you speak to case office or call center guys, and when they informed that your partner's case is in final stages? They informed me a month ago that my wife's visa is sent for final decision, a month for pakistan embassy seems odd.

    I am australian citizen, my wife applied for partner visa on 22 april 2015, had interview 3 months ago, submitted additional documents. I called AHC 4 weeks ago, they reply it is ready for final decision Any chance that senior migration officer has initiated length checks etc. What is normal response after moving to final decision? thank for your response
