Start of a new week will we get any news i wonder hopefully at least 1 of us shall receive some positive news regarding visa acceptance and be able to move on with our lives all fingers and toes crossed everyone

our main application was lodged on the 11th sept after everything else was sorted and MA said 3-6 weeks

employer has said that she has been in contact with immi but after what you and others have said I really am not so sure that she could actually find that sort of information but i could be wrong,if its the crystal ball technique then I have quite a few questions I wouldn't mind asking:laugh:

morning all emailed our employer last night and she seems to think that we will have the visa in our hands by end of next week(wishful thinking I believe)Bellwood don't you just hate jobsworths as it cost nothing to be polite atleast even if you cannot provide information that's required.I have a M3 bmw convertible that I would love to take with me but had quotes of around £6000 to ship a 2003 registered car does this sound right or can you recommend a company that I could try and get that figure down

I did email the MA and she said that it would be fine aslong as we didn't intend to work until 457 was granted,do you no if we can contact immi ourselves or do we have to go through the agent for answers

Big congrats docksboy40 hopefully ours wont be far behind as we lodged on the 11th sept,hope you don't mind me asking but did you or any family members have any crim convictions to declare ? we are thinking about booking flights for the 28th oct and if visa is still not granted we will go on a tourist visa and wait for outcome while doing some sight seeing etc and settling the kids in,we have friends in yeppoon so will stay with them for a short while until we no what the long term outcome is.Has anybody else thought of this option and whether they think is a good idea

Thanks for the positive response bellwood5 I have done stat dec and sent my police certificate which states no live trace so hopefully we will get a positive outcome :wink:

hi all we are just waiting for our visa to be granted before moving to yeppoon area,when we visited in july this year we checked out houses and schools we also checked out surrounding areas and visited beautiful Keppel island and felt really positive about what we looked at,my wife has a job in rocky for a large hairdressing franchaise and the daily drive was so relaxing and easy to commute to with beautiful surroundings plus we have friends already living in pacific heights which should make settling in a whole lot easier. Cannot wait to begin our new start and try and build a new life in OZ :wink:

congrats team AB yours was super fast :wink: still havnt heard anything ourselves but atleast with your news it gives me more hope that it will be sooner rather than later,on the down side agent has suggested that because of my crim convictions 25 years ago there maybe a hold up due to character related issues:frown:

our insurance starts on the 23rd of this month if we havnt heard before that I will contact them and change the start date of the policy which when taking out the policy we read is possible to do.No point paying for days we are staying in the uk We used a company call frank which was atleast 50 dollars a month cheaper than all the others for a family of 4.we are going to contact our sponsor later to see what she meant by fast track or if it was just wishful thinking and atleast get the situation clarified for ourselves

we are low risk from uk which from what I am reading doesn't seem to make much of a difference.i personally think the waiting is worse than all the paperwork itself there again I am very impatient :wink:

Out of interest where in OZ are you going we are going to sunshine coast about 20ks from rockhampton its a lovely little coastal town called yeppoon,we went on a little reccy to have a look at schools,houses etc and got a really good vibe from the place also helps having friends already living in the area

I really hope it doesn't take asking as that,really hard trying to organise things when you don't have a idea on timeframe but then again we are all in the same boat with that one I would imagine yours will be anytime now good luck

Thanks for that info we thought this was the case but was unsure after speaking with the sponsor who did email asking for start date of 1st oct 2015 maybe she aswell as us were being a little bit to optimistic.will keep our fingers well and truly crossed :wink:

hi all any advice welcome our visa application was lodged last week with medical insurance provived and having spoken to the sponsor we were told that she is going to get the visa 457 fast tracked.Now having a good look on the internet I cannot see if this is indeed possible so would like to hear from anybody who has had there 457 fast tracked or are we just clutching at straws and looking at a long wait like quite a few that I have read about on this thread. Just a little bit of info on the job.it is a hairdressing job for a major franchise in QLD but they do operate all over OZ and apparently have done quite a few 457 visa sponsors.would love to hear from anybody who can shed some light on this for us. thanks for reading
