Can anyone shed any light on the following part of the above forum for me?
Second question.... on form 80, they ask for a complete employment history - what extent have other people gone to when completing this part of the form?
Many thanks
A
You need to provide your full employment history along with gaps in between (if you have any) there cannot be any gaps between two employment. -
No only post qualified experience counted

You need to have the job offer for your skilled occupation or for a similar one
To my knowledge you need not work for the same place for 2 years
To my knowledge it will not affect your visa

Hi,
I have been project manager in IT, so IT projects (Ecommerce, infrastructure, etc..) and then I moved to Australia to build the new shopping center extension, where I was project manager for the entire project, both construction and retail, but I had a construction manager under me.
What do I need to do to get skilled visa?

Thank you abey1 for your reply.
Do you have any info on car insurance etc...just a rough guide would be fab.
How are you settling in, it's all still very new for you guys?
Many thanks
We insured the car from Toyota. And the insurance cost is based on the car value, where u live and your age. You can pay it in installments. Also we got a road side assistants as well. It was about $70 pa. But not sure how it is in other states..
Everything is settled now except for jobs [emoji51]. Still looking out!
Hope your move goes smoothly!

Hi All,
We are trying to work out approx how much money it will cost to set up in Oz for first 3 months.
I know it's a tricky question but hoping there are a few of you that wouldn't mind sharing your experience of when you first arrived in Oz?
We will be staying with family for a while first but will move to a rental, but will need first thing a 2nd hand family car, 2nd hand van for OH work, changing driving license over, getting kids set up for school, uniform etc, mobile phones...I'm sure there are lots of little things you forget about that add up!
We we will be heading to Gold Coast.
Any info will be gratefully received.
Many thanks
We too migrated to Perth only a month back and below the was some of our initial expenses capital + rent for 3 months

2 furniture and kitchen- 3000

6 food 1500 monthly

Hi @ Charlottehill76, Thanks for the detailed response. Its definitely going to help me a lot. I have also heard from someone, Waterloo is a very nice place though very expensive. Since my wife doesn't work, probably I will have to look for a cheaper place since can't afford that. I am planning to move alone and look for a place and then ask my wife and son to come down once I find a suitable place. Some of my acquaintances told me that without having a strong bank statement, it gets difficult to rent the place. I don't know how true is that. One of my friend told me that a place can be arranged but the agency is asking for 6 months advance. The only risk is that I am paying for a place which I haven't seen and I may not like. I don't know if there are any other ways to get the place before reaching there.
L~
In my opinion it's very important to view the place before making a commitment. Coz most of the time the real place is different than the photos you see in internet. So be careful.

Being an HR professional myself, it took little over 11 months from the date of applying to the grant. Not to worry you will hear something good soon!

Not sure what visa you are coming across on OP. I came on a 457 and joined Commonwealth, as they I believe are the only bank that would give a 457 visa holder a CC. Have a chat to them when you move over.
On 190. I think we can't request cc without a job right? Coz I don't have one at the moment [emoji4]

The advice I can give you is in IELTS. you scored low in speaking n writing. In writing you need to focus on paragraph writing and need to write exactly to the point. If you do so it's very easy to score in that. Speaking you need to again speak to the point with confidence. And with correct grammar. With this I scored 7.5 for both in my 2nd attempt. All the best! !!!

Hi there,
Recently i have submited EOI to Queensland for visa 190 and from BSMQ I got and Invitation to lodge an Application.
Now they want a Bank statement and Settlement funds-which can be liquids or assets (house or car).
But there is a question:
Do you intend to sell one or both of these assets before settling in Queensland?
If you tick YES, will it be necessary to actually sell the house before you arrive/or to get the visa at latter stage (or its just to satisfy their criteria)?
Does anyone had experience with this?
Thanks.
Yours,
Igor
I was asked to show ONLY liquid funds. And got the invitation few days after providing the statements.

I'm preparing docs for my visa application and need to get a reference letter/statement of services from my company (used statutory declaration for skills assessment). I've worked for the same company for nearly 10 years and so all my roles will be covered in a single reference letter and so its going to be several pages long. Should each page be initialed by my referee or is a signature on the last page sufficient? As I still haven't informed my boss of my intended move, is it okay if the letter comes from someone who I used to work under and now work alongside on an equal footing? Their title is Exec VP, my current title is COO (my 3 previous roles were junior to the EVP); the only person above both of us is the CEO who I don't wish to inform just yet. I'm not being deliberately deceptive to my boss, but my goal is to secure the visa and when I inform him of it pitch the idea that we can use my visa to establish a branch in Australia as it is a good market for us (plus we have operations in China) - and gets me over the whole problem of needing to find a job when we land.
If you have pages other than the letter head and last page of signature, better to get the other.pages initiated.

Hi Saacor,
Congrats buddy !! . I have been waiting for 8 months and a week now. Haven't received my Grant. May be because I have just 60 points. God knows when that fortunate day will come when I will get my grant.
Don't they give like 11 months time from the time of Grant to the time of entry? Atleast, that's what I had known. So, you got the grant now and they gave you less than 2 months to enter Australia for Stamping ?
Thanks,
Sulav
It's mostly one year from your medical or pcc whichever is earlier.

Hi
Applied for 190 visa in Oct 2015, still waiting for a grant...
Is anyone out there in the same situation,?
This waiting is highly frustrated. Didn't hear from the CO after March 2016 and no employment verification done so far..

Haven't heard of such a thing. Normally they release the results on the dot 13th after the exam was held. May be this is an exceptional situation

Could anyone with correct information help me in distinguishing between Internal and external checks for permanent visa processing ?
I got a glitch in job verification and case officer invited me to submit a comment against the glitch/adverse information received (as why department was unable to contact my employer?)
I defended my application through detailed comment and mentioned reason due to which contact couldn't be made; supported that comment by firm employment evidences; I got silence for months after submission of the comment and supporting evidences but later on was asked for fresh police clearance and health checks again;
Now upon asking current status of my application, the case officer says that my application is going through external (national) security checks
I have heard that internal check refers to your points claimed (Job, IELTS , Education etc) conducted by DIBP officer through phone calls or emails, while external check refers to background check concerning security and code of conduct of an applicant, performed by ASIO (Austrlian Security Intelligence Organization) ? please correct me if i am wrong ?
Also I would like to mention here that my employer was never contacted again by DIBP since I submitted my detailed comment and supporting evidences and later-on new medical and police clearance;
This puts a question mark as whether the internal check of my application was completed successfully or not ? If not, then why my application was pushed to external checks ? If yes , then would I be granted visa if my external checks come out with positive result ??
OR
After completion of external checks they would get back to internal checks again and contact my employer ?
Detailed response in this regard shall be highly appreciated
Were your police report and medical over 1 year old?
