Its true but then you are eligible to call them and get update on your file.. yeah they will just give you typical response that they will let us know when they need something from us.

Yup that's true. And if you call them a lot of times then they process your file even later.

Allocating the file doesn't mean anything coz even after allocation the approval can take several months...

Congratulations!! Now I think it's our turn coz me and few more people are waiting from last year. My processing centre is WA as well. They are the slowest processing centre in Australia I think so.

What !! You are in team 7 too..god...is there anyone else who is waiting is in team 7 ?? Is team 7 looking after applications who are applying for WA ?

No coz I am in Qld and just my file is been allocated to Team 7...

I think this is the month in which every1 who is been waiting from last year will get there visas. Team 7 is in WA.

Hi could anyone can kindly tell me how the immi account statue will change to from " Application received "

Application received - application in progress - finalised.

There is an issue called PIC 4020,if the department is suspicious about a document that you provided or you obtained it fradulently that person is subjected to PIC 4020 and if you can not clarify it you get three years ban of applying most visas..in my case it is a wrong stamp put on a reference letter put by my previous employer I provided the accurate one to clarify and now I am waiting for an outcome..

Ah ok...this is the first time I have heard this kinda stuff...so today I learned something new..

Well I have a 3 year ban and it only started like 3 months ago when I left Australia

But my nomination is all clear and hopefully visa is not far

During the 9 months process of my application I haven't called the department but since the previous three weeks I have called the department for three times.At first I called a specific number and been told that in the next couple of weeks I will hear something about my file and two weeks later I was not sure and I gave another call and this time the lady on the phone was not helpful at all so I gave another call last week on Fri and I got a proper answer finally.My question is ;do you think these calls would effect my application?

Nah they can't cancel your application just because you called so many times..

So till what month should I do wait n when should I call?

It depends if you are from high risk or low risk country...low risk 3-4months / high risk 5-6months...or if they are going to check all the documents of yours and investigate then it can take anywhere upto 8-9months like few people in this forum including me...just relax and wait for your turn and try not to see your immigration account or this forum every day, otherwise you will always be stressed out...Peace!!

Hi, though I am 186 application, I am still looking at 187 thread. My situation is not good because I applied in Jan this year and the nomination is still pending. How about your nomination? or you are just waiting for visa approval?

You applied for your visa in June mate!! You should at least wait for some time before calling immigration. RCB and nomination time doesn't count in the visa process. Coz whenever you are going to call they are going to make a note that you called and if you are going to call them a lot then intentionally they are going to delay.

Lucky you!!!..I think I hesitated a little bit but at least I know that it is very close now...

At least you are relieved now...good to hear that...I never took stress about it that was the reason I never came on this forum coz I already too all the stress before and then started to believe that whatever is going to happen will happen. But I know that something was not right. And the guy on the phone told me that my file is been allocated from last April and some1 looked at it at the same time. Then he asked that did anybody asked you any additional documents? I said no, then he checked my application and said that you already have all the documents needed for the application. He also told me that if I don't hear anything till mid of next week then I should write them an email again stating that its URGENT.

He did not provide me a specific information but told me will be assessed late September..did they give you specific information...

He told me everything whatever I asked. I even joked around with him over the phone to make him more comfortable then asked him all the questions. While he was on the phone with me, he was writing an email to the team where my is been allocated which is in WA team 7.

Thank you very much for the number..I have been told that my file is due to late september,it is in the queue currently and waiting to be opened...still couple of weeks more...good luck everyone...

And that is why I didn't post the number here. I know who are the people who are waiting from last year and I am only going to give that number to them.

So Bikerboy why say 02 in your previous post?

It's the actual number of parramatta canter and the guy sitting there told me that there was something in the system at the time of November and December coz of new computer system upgrade. And when he saw my time frame then he himself said that it's not right. And the person sitting at the Parramatta office is not a case officer, he is also a customer service officer as he told me that he just have to send the email to the processing department. We are not wasting or interrupting in there work.
