    Hi.  my friend lodged her husband's 457 subsequent visa last Feb 2017 but until now no word from DIBP?  What could be causing the delay? What is the current processing time for a subsequent 457 visa.

    Also the primary 457 visa is a 457 Pork Industry labour aggreement.  My friend wants to know if she has to wait 4 years to apply for PR or if she can lodge PR prior to the 4 years.  She wants to avoid having to renew her 457 which will be on the short term list under the new policy. Her current 457 will expire Sep 2020

    Hi Raul, my friend is on a 457 visa pork industry labour agreement and she is wondering if she has to wait 4 years to apply for PR or can she already apply before the 4 years.

      Hi Nicolo,

      It will depend on the terms of the Labour agreement.

      Each labour agreement is specific to the company, so it will depend on the terms of the Labour Agreement which has been negotiated, as to how long a 457 holder has to wait to apply for PR.

    Hi Raul, what is the current timeframe for a 457 subsequent visa? My friend lodge her husband's 457 subsequent visa on March 2017 but heard nothing yet.  Should they be concerned that it is taking too long?
