Would everyone say that around £500 in april middle of the week is a good deal?

If I could I would like to wait January to book as my work contract only runs till end of jan and would like to see if they will keep me on before I commit to flights and visa. I will check webjet now thanks.

Hi, Me and my friend are planning on going to Oz in April, last month I found flights for £480 from manchester to melbourne, however now the same flights have gone up to £520. How late can I leave the booking plus would there be any reliable sales happening in january or will all these be for later flights in summer?. Thanks Tom

Hi Everyone, I have hit a problem at somepoint I may go travel Sout East Asia after or durring my WHV in Oz. I am from the Uk so will be covered under the medicare. Will it be possible to get hepatits A+B vaccines in Oz and how much would they cost. Thanks Tom

I think I will be fine, I will be doing the bar course and all that stuff I'm taking enough money to hopefully see me through 2-3 months with no job and Il be looking for one inside the 1st week for sure, if you don't mind me asking what kind of experience do you have Jonathon did you get a job you was already experienced in, as i feel I might have to try and get some kind of saturday job for a little bit in a cafe or pub just to get used to that sector and I can bend the truth on my CV when I get to Oz haha.

Hi Everyone, I was wondering what kind of level the rate of unemployment is in Australia and from experience how hard it is to find jobs in Admin/Bar Work/ Fruit picking ect, of course it goes on you're own experience in these fields. Is it the case of 100's of people applying for the same postion much like it is in the UK in parts of the country. Tom

I dont have any service experience, I was thinking of doing some work in that sector for no wage the odd saturday not planning on getting a job as I have a full time job already. Might have to get some experience to help me in Oz before April, cheers for the advice!.

Hope I do! I have found flights for April one way for around 420-460 I dont want to book till later in the year, do you think the prices will go up and also is that the bottom end in terms of price or could I squeeze a little more out of it.

Hi Stacey, Yeah I think £4000 is a good figure, seems to be more than a few people take. Il be looking for a job pretty much straight away as I want to hop over to Japan and mainland Asia at somepoint.

Hi Everyone, I have been following the forums for the last few weeks and decided to join up :wink:. Me and my mate have decided to leave the english urban life and have a adventure in Oz and Asia. We are planning to go April 2015 if all goes well. I was wondering how the job market is over in Oz. My main area is Admin, however I would like to try my hand at different jobs as well. I'm planning to have £4000 at least I'm hoping for more!. I hope that £4000 will keep me ticking over till I find a job that's my major concern I don't want to run out of cash before I find a job. Tom
