In my view, once your EOI is accepted then your score doesnot matter that much. However every trade has its capping limits and with the start of new capping year , more and more grants are now being issued and the backlog is being addressed. Good luck for your early grant. I got my grant aftr 8 months 8 days on 20 july. Have to land b4 2nd November.

Hi saacor and others, Its been 8 months 6 days since i applied . still waiting. I think all old cases should be cleared in july since new capping has now enforced and more and more slots are now available Lets hope we all get our grants injuly. Mechy

Hi lili 64 Since you applied in january 2016, i suggest you should follow the thread related to those applicants who applied in jan 16. http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/244806-january-2016-189-visa-applicants.html Dont get frustrated, as the process and trend of grants get slower in the last quarter of financial year. I applied in Nov 15 and still waiting... probable reason for delay in my grant is due to the fact that I belong to a High Risk country. I guess Iran too is a HR country. Hello Novemberites!!! I guess only one grant issued in March and that is too for 489 (Strikker). Grants for November applications have slowed down rather nil reports. May be the reason is federal workers strikes ???? any comments?

It is generally stated that grant time is 3 months from date of application. But as per my observation, timeline for visa grant varies a lot, mainly depending on individuals applying from Low RISK (LR) or HIGH RISK (HR) countries. For LR applicants, direct visa grants is common if all forms and PCC / Medicals are front uploaded along with Visa application. otherwise grant is issued in 2 to 3 months time approx. On the other hand, applicants from HR countries have to wait for 6 to 10 months depending on the speed of internal and external checks done by the CO. Also it should be kept in mind, that the cases are not dealt by one CO only. The applications are processed through various COs at different times, probably it is done to have a series of checks and opinions so that minute details are not overlooked. All above stated is my personal opinion and is open for comments by forum members.
