Hi. Thank you for your answers. I've checked the education and community government website for NSW but it says that the registration and requirements are for public schools. Is it necessary to be registered with NWS education department for private schools also or private schools follow their own requirements? Thanks!!

My husband was the applicant which means that I didn't have to translate and send my qualification. Therefore my question is: Do I need to make my Teaching Degree equivalent in order to work in Primary or Nursery Schools in Australia and how do I do that? Do I need to provide reference letters or any sort of extra document necessary to teach in private schools in Australia? (concretely in Sidney as we are planning to live there). Is it necessary to past an specific English exams so as to become a teacher in Australia?
