  1. Hey, I don't think your visa is too far off mate. Mine was processed in VIC and they requested extra info too. Once they received this, it took about 2 weeks till approval. If you have a CO, then at least you know that your application is being looked at. Good luck :-)
  2. Yup, the longest wait of my life, I can tell you that much! Hang in there, not much longer now :-)

  4. Jeepers! That must have felt like an eternity! We have got so much riding on getting PR, life seems so stagnant at the moment as we can't make any serious decisions... yet.
  5. Hi guys, quick question for those lucky ones who already have their PR! How long on average did it take from nomination approval to visa grant? El x
  6. From what I have read, they seem to be approving around the 2-3 month mark. Fingers crossed for both out applications!
  7. Hi Stevevw975, Thank you for replying :-) I am just hoping and praying that we get our visa. The suspense is so stressful!
  8. Oh I forgot that when my hubby's employer sent the reply, the automated response said that they are currently working on applications made in June 2014.
  9. Hi All, Quick timeline update: Employer Nomination 21 May 2014 Medicals complete 10 June 2014 Visa Application 19 June 2014 (with medicals, Form 80 and all other supporting info) CO Requests further information from employer 29 August 2014 Information send to CO 08 September 2014 Does anyone know if requesting further info at the nomination stage is common practise? They require info like job title, salary, job description and skills required. Should I be worried because so many 186'ers have had no requests for more information? EEK!
  10. Hello Everyone, Congrats to those who have got your visa! We are still waiting... patiently... Employer Nomination - 22/05/14 Medicals Done - 10/06/14 Application Lodged - 19/06/14 As per acknowledgement letter, application processing centre in NSW. No contact yet, but will update when I hear anything. x
  11. Hey Paisleylass, We've now lodged and waiting... I've also done the Form 80 with 10 years, I've checked and checked and can't even find a version with the 30 years! Did you manage to get all your documents uploaded on time? Our UK police checks took just 8 days from the time we posted it till we got it back!
  12. Wow smythe123! Congrats! That was really quick! Hopefully ours will be as speedy as yours :-) My husbands employer applied for the nomination too early but have since withdrawn and resubmitted their nomination. Once we get our UK Police clearances back, then we will apply. fingers crossed for us :-)
  13. Thank you so very much for this information guys. you have saved us a lot of time and possible heartache! I'm so glad. I signed up to this site, I really value your opinions :-)
  14. Hi Adaminoz thanks so much for your reply. I'm definitely not applying now, that's for sure! Our visa was approved on the 2nd March 2012, arrived on the 2nd April and my husband started actually working on the 11th April 2012. If the nomination has already been declined, does that mean all our chances for another nomination application become non existent?
  15. Hi MaggieMay24 Thank you for your reply. Oh goodness! That's so disheartening! My husband works for a massive organisation who has sponsored lots of people over the years, I would think that they would've know when to apply. I really hope that this error doesn't cost us in the long run. Do you know if there is any way they can withdraw their nomination and reapply? My husband will contact HR on Monday and talk to them. I will keep you posted on the outcome of this. thanks so much for noticing this. Couldn't bear the thought of losing over $8K. Im so stressed now
  16. Hi Everyone, Congrats to those who have got their 186 and fingers crossed for those of you awaiting decisions. I have posted and said hi on the welcome thread, and pasted my message below... I have been reading a few of your threads for a while and thought it best to actually register and say hi :-) Firstly, I have to say that your community is fantastic and the advise you offer is great! I am currently in Regional QLD on a 457 visa (my husband is the primary applicant). We have 2 young children and I do not work as the the cost of childcare is extortionate with no government help. We arrived in Australia in April 2012 and my husbands employer has lodged their nomination for the ENS 186 (Transition Stream) at the beginning of March and no word on that approval yet. They have since given us the application ID and we have created our ImmiAccount, but are currently waiting for my husbands birth certificate and our police certificated from the UK. I don't think I need to provide my birth certificate as I am not the primary applicant (please correct me if I am wrong). We haven't done medicals yet, but as the cost is so high, we were thinking of waiting for it to be requested before we got them. Do you think this is advisable, or should we just send it all through with our application? I am really looking forward to contributing to the forums and becoming a part of this 'community'. Thanks for reading
