Can you bring your own RAT test , the NHS one from the UK for example ??
You can bring your own, if it is on the approved testing list.

Not sure why its silly, but yes thats correct, she just needs to do a RAT test, if she can get hold of one, they are still rare as hens teeth in some places. Allowing them to be done at home is preferable to the 8-9 hour queues in 30 degree heat that we were seeing a few weeks ago.
It’s silly because a RAT is done in 15 minutes. And as you pointed out, there are queues…. Which seems silly to do.

Thanks @Tulip1
My wife informed me there is a covid hotline… didn’t know that was a thing. Anyway I rang them and they informed me she can just do a RAT at home, or if she wants she can go and get a PCR test and then wait. Which seems silly!!

Hello Everyone!
My mother is arriving to Australia (from the UK - not an Australian Resident) in early March and will be required to get a RAT or PCR test within 24 hours. We have RAT here at home, is she able to just do that, if it comes up negative, be good to go? Or is she required to go to a pathology place, I assume pay, get the test, wait for an email or text and then bobs your uncle?
It's a bit vague on the Queensland government website as it just states a test must be done, does specify it has to be done under controlled conditions etc etc. She will have done 2 or 3 tests prior to travel and during travel as Dubai require a PCR test to be done.
Any advice would be great thank you in advance!

We had our exam on last Monday, 15th Nov at Kawana. Status still "received". Hopefully we get it shortly like you
I did my test in Brisbane, turn around time should be the same!

Test on 02/11/2021, approved 12/11/2021, letter for approval received today (18/11/2021).
Now I wait for the ceremony invite! Seems like the Sunshine Coast has a long wait on that, which isn't a surprise!

Interview done. Test done. 100%.
Now I wait for the letters in the post.

We got into SAS Australia that finished last week but used to record it and fast forward through the ads and padding.
I'll agree, that's a good show. The repetitive dramatisation is very annoying though!

After receiving an email on Tuesday regarding change of location, had an email yesterday (Thursday) saying I've been booked in for 2nd November in Brisbane.
What's the rules on failing the test? Can you retake the test?

I can't vouch for any Australian TV. Not only are there no decent programs I would suggest anyone watch, but if there were, watching them on the actual live feed if hard work. A 45 minute show takes over an hour to watch. The adverts are repetitive too!
UK Tv is 100% better no doubt about it.
People who watch "Have You Been Paying Attention" need lining up and shot.

Had an email today asking if I was happy to have a test date booked in Brisbane rather than the Sunshine Coast as there are more spots down there. Maybe they do read this forum

I genuinely forgot I'd applied for citizenship for a couple weeks. Applied back in April and haven't really given it much thought until it got mentioned at work. Still no news here, it's annoying for sure!

This waiting around milarky is infuriating!

Updated my passport details today - I have done it via the current citizenship application, is there anywhere else I would need to update it?
-
Woweeee genuinely can't see why there is a need for an increase, got to pay the public servants pensions some how I guess.

Day light savings is a genuine pet peeve of mine.
Cheap food, grocery/eating out. Some foods in particular, skips, wotsits, decent scotch eggs, decent pork pies, Bisto gravy that doesn't require taking out a mortgage etc etc.

Question - After the application is sent off and it says "Recieved", what is the next process in getting an invitation for a test/interview. Does it come via message? Will I get an email?

I applied for citizenship and then sent off my UK passport for renewal. When the passport renewal came back I went back into my citizenship application and updated the passport number accordingly. In terms of photos for evidence I went to the post office and had to get two different sized photos taken in order to upload what was needed for the citizenship that was a different size to that needed to renew my uk passport.
Since this was last year my UK passport took six months from application to return of the new passport.
plus updated the immi details in relation to my current visa to new passport number
Sounds like what I’ll be doing! Thanks!

As above - it would help if you told us which actual question it is.
If it's an authorised person it could be someone who has known the child for x number of time.
